A) Foreword
Before you scroll down to the Time-Table for your daily reading, please take a moment to read our short message.
Beginning in 2024, we are reconstructing this webpage. We are in the process of adding the King James Version Bible daily reading page links are added into the left column of the time-table in our website.
In this King James Version Bible daily reading pages, we are including:-
- audio
- text size resizer
- background music
- with on-the-spot help from the Amplified Bible and the dictionaries to understand the meaning of archaic and difficult words
We pray that our King James Version Bible daily reading pages will be of great help to those who find King James Version Bible hard to understand.
B) Objectives
Our objectives for our Daily Devotional Bible Study (Live session – Since October 2021) are as follows:-
- To create an awareness of the importance of abiding (staying) in God’s Word daily and always.
- To encourage everyone to complete reading the entire Bible in one year’s time.
- To read and study the Word of God diligently daily.
- To help remind everyone to repent sincerely, pray earnestly & fervently daily.
C) Statistics: Many Christians are not reading their Bible daily and have never read it entirely
Statistics from our survey as well as from other sources have shown that there are many Christians who have not read the entire Word of God (the Holy Bible). This is because they are doing random Bible verses jumping here and there instead of reading the Bible in sequence to complete the entire Bible. Therefore, they have not been able to read the entire Bible even though they had been a believer in Christ for many years.
D) Why do we need to read the Bible / Word of God daily?
Here are 10 important reasons why we need to read the Word of God DAILY:-
1. When we read the Word of God, it is God and our Savior Lord Jesus Christ speaking to us:-
Hebrews 1:1-2 King James Version (KJV)
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake (spoke) in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son (Jesus Christ), whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds
2. God corrects us through the Bible to provide us with guidance on righteousness:-
2 Timothy 3:16 King James Version (KJV)
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness
Hebrews 4:12 King James Version (KJV)
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
3. The Word of God is a lamp to our feet, a light to our path so we can see clearly the safe path to take instead of taking the wrong path with dangers of falling into temptations and sins ahead:-
Psalm 119:105 (KJV) Thy (Your) word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
4. The Word of God embedded in our hearts will help us not to sin against God:-
Psalm 119:11 (KJV) Thy (Your) word have I hid in mine (my) heart, that I might not sin against thee (you).
5. If we do not abide (live in, remain in place) in His Word or just read it randomly as and when we like, we are actually not believers (John 5:38). Therefore we will wither and be casted into hell (John 15:6):-

38 And ye (you) have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye (you) believe not.

16 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
6. Only by abiding in Him, we can bear the evidence of the Fruit of the Spirit as a believer in Christ:-
John 15:4-8 King James Version (KJV)
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth (lives in, remains in place) in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
7. When we read the Word of God, God is imparting knowledge to us. Without reading and learning the knowledge He wants us to learn, we will perish (be destroyed):-

8. When we read the Word of God, God promises His blessings and approval to us:-
John 15:7-8 King James Version (KJV)
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9. When we read the Word of God, we are in God’s presence:-
John 1:1 King James Version (KJV)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
10. When we read the Word of God, we are sharpening our ‘SWORDS’ (the knowledge in the Word of God) in equipping ourselves for spiritual battles. The Sword of the Spirit or the Word of God is our Sword of the Spirit as mentioned in the THE WHOLE / FULL ARMOR OF GOD:-
Ephesians 6:17 King James Version (KJV)
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God
E) The meaning of the word ‘abide’
# abide
abide = to live in or stay somewhere (Cambridge dictionary)
The Word of God (the Holy Bible) clearly states that we are required to abide in/remain in place/to stay or live in His Word, not just ‘visiting’ His Word:-
Example:-
Those who stay/live daily with their parents, it means that they are ABIDING in their parents’ house.
Those who go see someone only when able to, it means that they are just visiting, not abiding/living in/staying in.
All the scriptures mentioned earlier, did any of the use the word ‘visit’? The answer is no. All of the scriptures were using the word ‘abide’.
We need ask ourselves this self-examination question: “Am I really abiding in the Word of God or am I just visiting God’s Word as how I or when I like?”
(NOTE: Reading random Bible verses and have not read the entire Holy Bible even after many years is visiting God’s Word)
F) The gospel (good news) is free for all
The good news / gospel is free for everyone:-

8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
