Yahusha Predicts His Death (continuation)
27 Now is my (My) soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me (Me) from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
28 Father, glorify thy name (Father, honor Your name!). Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake (spoke) to him (Him).
30 Yahusha answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out (Now Satan, the ruler of this world will thrown out).
32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me (Me).
(AMP BIBLE: 32 And I, if and when I am lifted up from the earth [on the cross], will draw all people to Myself [Gentiles, as well as Jews]).
33 This he (He) said, signifying what death he (He) should die.
34 The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth (abides / remains / stays) for ever (forever): and how sayest thou (and why do you say), The Son of man (The Son of Man) must be lifted up? who is this Son of man (Son of Man)?
35 Then Yahusha said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye (you) have the light, lest darkness come upon you (so that darkness will not overtake you): for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth (He who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going [he is drifting aimlessly]).
36 While ye (you) have light (Light), believe in the light (Light), that ye (you) may be the children of light (Light). These things spake (spoke) Yahusha, and departed, and did hide himself (Himself) from them.
The Unbelief of the People
37 But though he (He) had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him (in Him):
38 That the saying of Esaias (Isaiah; Yeshayahu) the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake (spoke), 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah, who hath (has) believed our report? and to whom hath (has) the arm of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah been revealed?
39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias (Isaiah) said again,
40 He hath (has) blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
41 These things said Esaias (Isaiah), when he saw his glory, and spake (spoke) of him.
42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of Elohim.
44 Yahusha cried and said, He that believeth on (believes in) me, believeth not on me (believes not in Me), but on him that sent me.
45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me (And whoever sees Me sees the One who sent Me).
46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness ( I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes and trusts in Me [as Savior—all those who anchor their hope in Me and rely on the truth of My message] will not continue to live in darkness).
47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48 He that rejecteth me (rejects Me), and receiveth not my words (and does not receive My words), hath (has) one that judgeth (judges) him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
49 For I have not spoken of myself (Myself); but the Father which sent me (Me), he (He) gave me (Me) a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
50 And I know that his commandment (His Command) is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me (Me), so I speak.

Asa’s Religious Reforms
15 And the Spirit of Elohim came upon Azariah the son of Oded:
2 And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye (you) me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah is with you, while ye (you) be with him; and if ye (you) seek him (Him), he (He) will be found of you; but if ye (you) forsake him (Him), he (He) will forsake you.
3 Now for a long season Israel hath (has) been without the true Elohim, and without a teaching priest, and without law.
4 But when they in their trouble did turn unto 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah Elohim of Israel, and sought him (Him), he (He) was found of them.
5 And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.
6 And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for Elohim did vex (trouble) them with all adversity (calamities / suffering).
7 Be ye (you) strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.
8 And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah, that was before the porch of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah.
9 And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah his Elohim was with him.
10 So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth (15th) year of the reign of Asa.
11 And they offered unto 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah the same time, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred (700) oxen and seven thousand (7,000) sheep.
12 And they entered into a covenant to seek 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah Elohim of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;
13 That whosoever would not seek 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah Elohim of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
14 And they sware unto (swore to) 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.
15 And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah gave them rest round about.
16 And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

19 And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth (35th) year of the reign of Asa.

Final Years of Asa’s Reign
16 In the six and thirtieth (36th) year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
2 Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house (House) of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah and of the king’s house, and sent to Benhadad king of Syria, that dwelt (lived) at Damascus, saying,
3 There is a league between me and thee (you), as there was between my father and thy (your) father: behold (look), I have sent thee (you) silver and gold; go, break thy (your) league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.
4 And Benhadad hearkened unto (paid attention to) king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abelmaim, and all the store cities of Naphtali.
5 And it came to pass (And it indeed happened), when Baasha heard it, that he left off building of Ramah, and let his work cease.
6 Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha was building; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah.
7 And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast (you have) relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah thy (your) Elohim, therefore is the host (army) of the king of Syria escaped out of thine (your) hand.
8 Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host (army), with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst (you did) rely on 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah, he (He) delivered them into thine (your) hand.
9 For the eyes of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew (show) himself (Himself) strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him (Him). Herein thou hast (you have) done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt (you shall) have wars.
10 Then Asa was wroth (extremely angry) with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed (persecuted / subjugated) some of the people the same time.
Summary of Asa’s Reign
11 And, behold (look), the acts of Asa, first and last, lo (look), they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
12 And Asa in the thirty and ninth (39th) year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah (he did not seek 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah), but to the physicians (doctors).
13 And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year (forty-first year) of his reign.
14 And they buried him in his own sepulchres (tomb), which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odours (fragrance) and divers kinds of spices prepared by the apothecaries’ art : and they made a very great burning for him (by the perfumers’ art; and they made a very great fire in his honor).
