Jairus’ Daughter is Raised from the Dead and a Woman Healed
21 And when Jesus (Yahusha) was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto (near to) the sea.
22 And, behold, there cometh (came) one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him (Him), he fell at his (His) feet,
23 And besought him greatly (pleaded him earnestly), saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death (laying on the bed and dying): I pray thee (you), come and lay thy (your) hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
24 And Jesus (Yahusha) went with him; and much people followed him (Him), and thronged him (and pressed around Him).
25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered (and was not getting better), but rather grew worse,
27 When she had heard of Jesus (Yahusha), came in the press behind, and touched his (His) garment.
28 For she said, If I may touch but his (His) clothes, I shall be whole (be well, be healed).
29 And straightway (straightaway) the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague (disease, sickness).
30 And Jesus (Yahusha), immediately knowing in himself (Himself) that virtue had gone out of him (Him), turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my (My) clothes?
31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest (You see) the multitude (crowd) thronging thee (pressing you), and sayest thou (you say), Who touched me?
32 And he (He) looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him (Him), and told him (Him) all the truth.
34 And he (He) said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath (has) made thee (you) whole (well); go in peace, and be whole (healed) of thy plague (your disease/sickness).
35 While he yet spake (While Jesus (Yahusha) was still speaking), there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy (Your) daughter is dead: why troublest thou (why did you trouble) the Master any further?
36 As soon as Jesus (Yahusha) heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto (said to) the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
37 And he suffered no man (And He permitted no one) to follow him (Him), save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
38 And he cometh (Then He came) to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult (saw a commotion), and them that wept and wailed (cried in grief) greatly.
39 And when he was come in (And when He came in), he saith unto (said to) them, Why make ye (Why are you making) this ado (commotion), and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth (is asleep).
40 And they laughed (at) him (Him) to scorn (to belittle/mock). But when he (He) had put them all out, he taketh (took) the father and the mother of the damsel (little child), and them that were with him (Him), and entereth (entered) in where the damsel (little child) was lying.
41 And he (He) took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel (Little child), I say unto thee (you), arise.
42 And straightway (straightaway) the damsel (little child) arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished (amazed) with a great astonishment (amazement).
43 And he charged them straitly (And He gave strict orders) that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.

God’s (Elohim’s) Anger Toward Miriam and Aaron
12 And Miriam and Aaron spake (spoke) against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
2 And they said, Hath (Has) the Lord indeed spoken only by Moses? hath (has) he not spoken also by us? And the Lord heard it.
3 (Now the man Moses was very meek (humble), above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
4 And the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) spake (spoke) suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye (you) three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.
5 And the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth (stepped forward).
6 And he (He) said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) will make myself (Myself) known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
7 My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine (My) house.
8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
9 And the anger of the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) was kindled (flaming) against them; and he (He) departed.
10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold (look), she was leprous.
11 And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee (implore you), lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.
12 Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh (comes) out of his mother’s womb.
Moses Pleads for Miriam’s Healing
13 And Moses cried unto the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee (you).
14 And the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.
15 And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.
16 And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.

Twelve Men Chosen as Spies
13 And the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) spake unto (spoke to) Moses, saying,
2 Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye (you) send a man, every one a ruler among them.
3 And Moses by the commandment of the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel.
One Spy from Each Tribe
4 And these were their names: of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur.
5 Of the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the son of Hori.
6 Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
7 Of the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph.
8 Of the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea the son of Nun.
9 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Palti the son of Raphu.
10 Of the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi.
11 Of the tribe of Joseph, namely, of the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the son of Susi.
12 Of the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the son of Gemalli.
13 Of the tribe of Asher, Sethur the son of Michael.
14 Of the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the son of Vophsi.
15 Of the tribe of Gad, Geuel the son of Machi.
16 These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Oshea the son of Nun Jehoshua.
Men Ordered to Spy Out the Land
17 And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain:
18 And see the land, what it is, and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many;
19 And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds;
20 And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye (you) of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes.
Forty Days of Searching
21 So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath.
22 And they ascended by the south, and came unto Hebron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)
23 And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs.
24 The place was called the brook Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from thence.
25 And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.
The Spies Report to Israel
26 And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.
27 And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest (you sent) us, and surely it floweth (flows) with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.
28 Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
A Negative Report
31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth (eats) up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Israel Refuses to Enter Canaan
14 And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.
2 And all the children of Israel murmured (grumbled) against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) we had died in this wilderness!
3 And wherefore hath the Lord brought us unto this land (Why is the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) bringing us to this land [of Canaan]), to fall (die) by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
4 And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.
5 Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.
Joshua and Caleb Urge Conquest
6 And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent (tore) their clothes:
7 And they spake unto (spoke to) all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.
8 If the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth (flows) with milk and honey.
9 Only rebel not ye (you) against the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), neither fear ye (you) the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) is with us: fear them not.
10 But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.
11 And the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me (Me)? and how long will it be ere (before) they believe me (Me), for all the signs which I have shewed (showed) among them?
12 I will smite (strike) them with the pestilence (plague), and disinherit (disown) them, and will make of thee (you) a greater nation and mightier than they.
Moses Intercedes for Israel
13 And Moses said unto the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), Then the Egyptians shall hear it, for thou broughtest (You brought) up this people in thy (Your) might from among them;)
14 And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou Lord art among (You Adonai are among) this people, that thou Lord art (You LORD are) seen face to face, and that thy (Your) cloud standeth (stands) over them, and that thou goest (You go) before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.
15 Now if thou shalt kill (Now if You shall kill) all this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of thee (you) will speak, saying,
16 Because the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) was not able to bring this people into the land which he sware unto (He swore to) them, therefore he hath slain (He has killed) them in the wilderness.
17 And now, I beseech thee (I urge You), let the power of my lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah); be great, according as thou hast (You have) spoken, saying,
18 The Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity (sin) and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.
19 Pardon (Forgive), I beseech thee (I urge You), the iniquity (sin) of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy, and as thou hast (and as You have) forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.
20 And the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) said, I have pardoned according to thy (your) word:
21 But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah).
22 Because all those men which have seen my (My) glory, and my (My) miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me (tested Me) now these ten times, and have not hearkened (not paid attention) to my (My) voice;
23 Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto (swore to) their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me (Me) see it:
24 But my (My) servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath (has) followed me (Me) fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed (generation) shall possess it.
25 (Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwelt (lived) in the valley.) Tomorrow turn you, and get you into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.
God’s (Elohim’s) Punishment on Israel
26 And the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) spake unto (spoke to) Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
27 How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur (grumble) against me? I have heard the murmurings (grumblings / complaints) of the children of Israel, which they murmur (grumble) against me.
28 Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith (says) the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), as ye (you) have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
29 Your carcases (dead bodies) shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward which have murmured (grumbled) against me (Me).
30 Doubtless ye (you) shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware (swore) to make you dwell (live) therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
31 But your little ones, which ye (you) said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye (you) have despised.
32 But as for you, your carcases (dead bodies), they shall fall in this wilderness.
33 And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases (dead bodies) be wasted in the wilderness.
34 After the number of the days in which ye (you) searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye (you) bear your iniquities, even forty (40) years, and ye (you) shall know my (My) breach of promise.
35 I the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me (Me): in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.
36 And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur (grumble) against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land,
37 Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah).
Joshua and Caleb Spared
38 But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men that went to search the land, lived still.
Israel Tries to Enter the Land
39 And Moses told these sayings unto all the children of Israel: and the people mourned greatly.
40 And they rose up early in the morning, and gat them up into the top of the mountain, saying, Lo (Look), we be here, and will go up unto the place which the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) hath (has) promised: for we have sinned.
41 And Moses said, Wherefore (Why) now do ye (you) transgress (violate) the commandment of the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah)? but it shall not prosper.
42 Go not up (Do not go up), for the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) is not among you; that ye (you) be not smitten before your enemies.
43 For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye (you) shall fall by the sword: because ye (you) are turned away from the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), therefore the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) will not be with you.
44 But they presumed to go up unto the hill top: nevertheless the ark of the covenant (Ark of the Covenant / Agreement) of the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), and Moses, departed not out of the camp.
45 Then the Amalekites came down, and the Canaanites which dwelt (lived) in that hill, and smote (attacked) them, and discomfited them (beat them down), even unto Hormah.
