In the end times or last days, the Bible warns us that there will be lots of troubles, sufferings and what will people become eventually. Therefore we must be prepared and stay strong no matter what happens. Here are some of the most important things in life to guard our soul because we are responsible for our own Salvation. If we do not take care of our own Salvation, who will do it for us?:-
- Read the Bible and pray (talk to Father Lord) everyday.
- Obey everything that God has commanded us to do.
- Live a holy life because we are answerable or accountable to God when we meet Him.
- Stay alert at all times. Do not life a ‘relaxing life’ because Jesus had warned us that He will come like a thief.
- Serve Father Lord with our different gifts and talents.
- We are saved to save others.
- Make disciples. Teach others.
We do not know what will happen the next minute. None of us know when is Jesus coming exactly but the Bible did explain to us about the signs of end times in full details:-
Revelation 16:15 (English Standard Version)
15 “Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”
Matthew 24:40-42 (Amplified Bible)
40 At that time two men will be in the field; one will be taken [for judgment] and one will be left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken [for judgment] and one will be left.
Be Ready for His Coming
42 “So be alert [give strict attention, be cautious and active in faith], for you do not know which day [whether near or far] your Lord is coming.
11 EVENTS IN THE LAST DAYS (END TIMES):-
1) EMERGENCE OF FALSE CHRIST
4 Jesus answered, “Be careful that no one misleads you [deceiving you and leading you into error]. 5 For many will come in My name [misusing it, and appropriating the strength of the name which belongs to Me], saying, ‘I am the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed),’ and they will mislead many.
2) WARS AND RUMORS OF WARS
6 You will continually hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end [of the age].
3) NATION WILL RISE AGAINST NATION
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs [of the intolerable anguish and the time of unprecedented trouble].
4) PEOPLE WILL NOT TOLERATE SOUND DOCTRINE AND ACCURATE INSTRUCTION
2 Timothy 4:1-5
1 I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: 2 preach the word [as an official messenger]; be ready when the time is right and even when it is not [keep your sense of urgency, whether the opportunity seems favorable or unfavorable, whether convenient or inconvenient, whether welcome or unwelcome]; correct [those who err in doctrine or behavior], warn [those who sin], exhort and encourage [those who are growing toward spiritual maturity], with inexhaustible patience and [faithful] teaching. 3 For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction [that challenges them with God’s truth]; but wanting to have their ears tickled [with something pleasing], they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold, 4 and will turn their ears away from the truth and will wander off into myths and man-made fictions [and will accept the unacceptable]. 5 But as for you, be clear-headed in every situation [stay calm and cool and steady], endure every hardship [without flinching], do the work of an evangelist, fulfill [the duties of] your ministry.
5) MOCKERS WILL MOCK ABOUT JESUS’ SECOND COMING
2 Peter 3:3-4
The Coming Day of the Lord
3 First of all, know [without any doubt] that mockers will come in the last days with their mocking, following after their own human desires 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming [what has become of it]? For ever since the fathers fell asleep [in death], all things have continued [exactly] as they did from the beginning of creation.”
6) PROCLAMATIONS OF PEACE AND SAFETY
1 Thessalonians 5:3
3 While they are saying, “Peace and safety [all is well and secure!]” then [in a moment unforeseen] destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains on a woman with child, and they will absolutely not escape [for there will be no way to escape the judgment of the Lord].
7) PEOPLE BECOME LUSTFUL, COMPLAINING A LOT, ARROGANT, BOASTFUL
16 These people are [habitual] murmurers, griping and complaining, following after their own desires [controlled by passion]; they speak arrogantly, [pretending admiration and] flattering people to gain an advantage.
8) PEOPLE STORING UP TREASURES
3 Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will consume your flesh like fire. You have stored up your treasure in the last days [when it will do you no good].
9) MANY FALSE PROPHETS
11 Many false prophets will appear and mislead many.
10) DIFFICULT TIMES WILL COME
2 Timothy 3:1-2
3 But understand this, that in the last days dangerous times [of great stress and trouble] will come [difficult days that will be hard to bear]. 2 For people will be lovers of self [narcissistic, self-focused], lovers of money [impelled by greed], boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane,
11) INCREASED OF KNOWLEDGE AND TRAVEL
4 But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the scroll until the end of time. Many will go back and forth and search anxiously [through the scroll], and knowledge [of the purpose of God as revealed by His prophets] will [greatly] increase.”
PRAYER: Father Lord, please help me to stay alert and be prepared at all times.
