Jesus (Yeshua) The Bread of Life

22 The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his (His) disciples were entered, and that Jesus (original name in Hebrew: Yeshua) went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his (His) disciples were gone away alone;

23 (Howbeit (However) there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto (near to) the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:)

24 When the people therefore saw that Jesus (Yeshua) was not there, neither his (His) disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus (Yeshua).

25 And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him (Him), Rabbi, when camest thou hither (Teacher, when did You get here)?

26 Jesus (Yeshua) answered them and said, Verily, verily (Truly, truly), I say unto you, Ye (You) seek me, not because ye (you) saw the miracles, but because ye (you) did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed (Do not work for food that perishes, but for food that endures [and leads] to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you; for God the Father has authorized Him and put His seal on Him).

28 Then said they unto him (Him), What shall we do, that we might work (do) the works of God?

29 Jesus (Yeshua) answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him (you believe in Him) whom he hath (He has) sent.

30 They said therefore unto him (Him), What sign shewest thou then (What sign do you show then), that we may see, and believe thee (you)? what dost thou work (What [supernatural] work will You do [as proof])?

31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

32 Then Jesus (Yeshua) said unto them, Verily, verily (Truly, truly), I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my (My) Father giveth you (who gives you) the true bread from heaven.

33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven (He who comes down out of heaven), and giveth (gives) life unto the world.

34 Then said they unto him (Him), Lord, evermore give us this bread.

35 And Jesus (Yeshua) said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh (comes) to me (Me) shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me (and He who believes in Me) shall never thirst.

36 But I said unto you, That ye (you) also have seen me (Me), and believe not.

37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me (gives Me will come to Me); and him that cometh (comes) to me I will in no wise cast out (I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, never reject anyone who follows Me]).

38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine (my) own will, but the will of him that sent me (but the will/wish of Him who sent me) .

39 And this is the Father’s will which hath (has) sent me, that of all which he hath (has) given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth (who sees) the Son, and believeth on (and believes in Him) him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

41 The Jews then murmured (grumbled) at him (Him), because he (He) said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.

42 And they said, Is not this Jesus (Yeshua), the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven (How does He now [have the arrogance to] say, ‘I have come down out of heaven’)?

43 Jesus (Yeshua) therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not (Do not grumble) among yourselves.

44 No man can come to me (Me), except the Father which hath sent me fraw him (has sent Me draws him): and I will raise him up at the last day.

The Returning Exiles

9 So all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and, behold, they were written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, who were carried away to Babylon for their transgression.

Now the first inhabitants that dwelt (lived) in their possessions in their cities were, the Israelites, the priests, Levites, and the Nethinims.

And in Jerusalem dwelt (lived) of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasseh;

Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Pharez the son of Judah.

And of the Shilonites; Asaiah the firstborn, and his sons.

And of the sons of Zerah; Jeuel, and their brethren (brothers), six hundred and ninety (690).

And of the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hasenuah,

And Ibneiah the son of Jeroham, and Elah the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam the son of Shephathiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah;

And their brethren (brothers), according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty and six. All these men were chief of the fathers in the house of their fathers.

The Returning Priests

10 And of the priests; Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, and Jachin,

11 And Azariah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God;

12 And Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchijah, and Maasiai the son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer;

13 And their brethren (brothers), heads of the house of their fathers, a thousand and seven hundred and threescore (1,760); very able men for the work of the service of the house of God.

The Returning Levites

14 And of the Levites; Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;

17 And the porters were, Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren (brothers): Shallum was the chief;

18 Who hitherto waited in the king’s gate eastward: they were porters in the companies of the children of Levi.

19 And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren (brothers), of the house of his father, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the gates of the tabernacle: and their fathers, being over the host of the Lord, were keepers of the entry.

20 And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them in time past, and the Lord was with him.

21 And Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was porter of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

22 All these which were chosen to be porters in the gates were two hundred and twelve (212). These were reckoned by their genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their set office.

23 So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the house of the Lord, namely, the house of the tabernacle, by wards.

24 In four quarters were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south.

25 And their brethren (brothers), which were in their villages, were to come after seven days from time to time with them.

26 For these Levites, the four chief porters, were in their set office, and were over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.

27 And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge was upon them, and the opening thereof every morning pertained to them.

28 And certain of them had the charge of the ministering vessels, that they should bring them in and out by tale.

29 Some of them also were appointed to oversee the vessels, and all the instruments of the sanctuary, and the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.

30 And some of the sons of the priests made the ointment of the spices.

31 And Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the set office over the things that were made in the pans.

32 And other of their brethren (brothers), of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the shewbread, to prepare it every sabbath.

33 And these are the singers, chief of the fathers of the Levites, who remaining in the chambers were free: for they were employed in that work day and night.

34 These chief fathers of the Levites were chief throughout their generations; these dwelt (lived) at Jerusalem.

King Saul’s Family Tree

35 And in Gibeon dwelt (lived) the father of Gibeon, Jehiel, whose wife’s name was Maachah:

36 And his firstborn son Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab.

37 And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.

38 And Mikloth begat Shimeam. And they also dwelt (lived) with their brethren (brothers) at Jerusalem, over against their brethren (brothers).

39 And Ner begat Kish; and Kish begat Saul; and Saul begat Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.

40 And the son of Jonathan was Meribbaal: and Meribbaal begat Micah.
