James Is Killed and Peter Is Imprisoned

12 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church (intending to harm them).

And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.

And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)

And when he had apprehended (seized, arrested) him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions (four squads) of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter (the Passover) to bring him forth to the people.

Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

Peter’s Miraculous Escape from Prison

And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before (in front of) the door kept the prison.

And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote (struck) Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee (you), and follow me. (The angel said to him, “Prepare yourself and strap on your sandals [to get ready for whatever may happen].” And he did so. Then the angel told him, “Put on your robe and follow me”).

And he went out, and followed him; and wist not (and did not realize) that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.

10 When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth (leads) unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.

11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety (for certain), that the Lord hath (has) sent his angel, and hath (has) delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

12 And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.

13 And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel (young maiden) came to hearken (listen), named Rhoda.

14 And when she knew Peter’s voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before (in front of) the gate.

15 And they said unto her, Thou art (You are) mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.

16 But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished (amazed).

17 But he, beckoning unto (motioning to) them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew (show) these things unto James, and to the brethren (brothers). And he departed, and went into another place.

18 Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers, what was become of Peter.

19 And when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judaea (Judea) to Caesarea, and there abode (he stayed).

The Death of Herod Agrippa

20 And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king’s chamberlain (officer) their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king’s country.

21 And upon a set day Herod, arrayed (displayed) in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto (a formal speech to) them.

22 And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.

23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote (struck) him, because he gave not God the glory (because he did not give the Almighty Creator / Yahuah / YHWH the glory): and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost (died).

24 But the word of God grew and multiplied.

25 And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark.

Bildad’s Third Response to Job

25 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places (“Dominion and awe belong to God; He establishes peace and order in His high places).

Is there any number of his (His) armies? and upon whom doth (does) not his (His) light arise?

How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

Behold (See,) even to the moon, and it shineth not (and it does not shine); yea (yes), the stars are not pure in his sight.

How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm (How much less man, that maggot, And the son of man, that worm)?

Job’s Ninth Speech: A Response to Bildad

26 But Job answered and said,

How hast thou (How have you) helped him that is without power? how savest thou (How do you save) the arm that hath (has) no strength?

3 How hast thou (How have you) counselled him that hath (has) no wisdom? and how hast thou (how have you) plentifully declared the thing as it is?

To whom hast thou uttered words (To whom have you say these words to)? and whose spirit came from thee (you)?

Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.

Hell is naked before (in front of) him, and destruction hath (has) no covering.

He stretcheth (stretches) out the north over the empty place, and hangeth (hangs) the earth upon nothing.

He bindeth (binds) up the waters in his (His) thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent (does not burst) under them.

He holdeth (holds) back the face of his (His) throne, and spreadeth his (spreads His) cloud upon it.

10 He hath (has) compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.

11 The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof (His rebuke).

12 He divideth (divides) the sea with his (His) power, and by his (His) understanding he smiteth (He strikes) through the proud.

13 By his (His) spirit he hath (has) garnished the heavens; his (His) hand hath (has) formed the crooked serpent.

14 Lo, (Look,) these are parts of his (His) ways: but how little a portion is heard of him (Him)? but the thunder of his (His) power who can understand?

Job’s Final Speech

27 Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,

As God liveth (lives), who hath (has) taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed (has caused bitterness to) my soul;

All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;

My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit (deception, trickery).

God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine (my) integrity from me.

My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.

Let mine (my) enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth (rises) up against me as the unrighteous.

For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath (has) gained, when God taketh (takes) away his soul?

Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh (comes) upon him?

10 Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?

11 I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.

12 Behold (See), all ye (you) yourselves have seen it; why then are ye (you) thus altogether vain?

13 This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.

14 If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.

15 Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep.

16 Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment (clothing) as the clay;

17 He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.

18 He buildeth (builds) his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper maketh (makes).

19 The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth (opens) his eyes, and he is not.

20 Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth (a violent windy storm steals) him away in the night.

21 The east wind carrieth (carries) him away, and he departeth (departs): and as a storm hurleth (hurls, drags) him out of his place.

22 For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee (flee with haste) out of his hand.

23 Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.

THE ORGINAL HEBREW NAME OF THE MESSIAH

The video below is done by a Jewish Hebrew language lady teacher. Her name is Ayelet. She is born and raised in Israel. Hebrew is her native language. In this video, we will be able to learn the correct pronunciation of the Messiah’s original name in Hebrew:-

VIDEO: Jesus – Yeshua in Hebrew – Hebrew Word of the Day (59 secs) – by The WORD in HEBREW

In Hebrew: מָשִׁיחַ (H4899) = Mashiach = Messiah (English) / Anointed One

In Hebrew (full name): יְהוֹשׁוּעַ הַמָשִׁיחַ = Yahushua Ha-Mashiach = Yahushua The Anointed One. NOTE: Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ (H3442 = He will save) is a shortened form of Yehoshooah / Yahushua יְהוֹשׁוּעַ (H3091 = God / Yah saves). Yahushua as spelt in this manner depicts that the Messiah came in the name of His Father, Yah יה / יָהּ (H3050) as in John 5:43).

In Greek = Christos

In English = Christ =  Messiah = Anointed One
