God’s (Yahuah’s) Selection of Israel (continuation)

16 So then it is not of him that willeth (who is willing), nor of him that runneth (runs), but of God (Yah / Yahuah / YHWH) that sheweth (who shows) mercy.

17 For the scripture saith unto (says to) Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee (you) up, that I might shew (show) my power in thee (You), and that my (My) name might be declared throughout all the earth.

18 Therefore hath he (He has) mercy on whom he (He) will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth (and He hardens [the heart of] whom He wills).

19 Thou wilt (You will) say then unto me, Why doth (does) he yet find fault? For who hath (has) resisted his will (His will / His wish)?

20 Nay (No) but, O man, who art thou that repliest (who are you to reply) against God (Yahuah)? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus (Why have you made me like this)?

21 Hath (Has) not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

22 What if God (Yahuah), willing to shew his wrath (show His extreme anger), and to make his (His) power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

23 And that he (He) might make known the riches of his (His) glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore (before) prepared unto glory,

24 Even us, whom he hath (He has) called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

25 As he saith also in Osee (Just as He says in [the writings of the prophet] Hosea), I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye (You) are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God (Yahuah).

27 Esaias (Isaiah) also crieth (cried) concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant (a small number of people) shall be saved:

28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.

29 And as Esaias (Isaiah) said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth (Armies / Hosts) had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma (Sodom), and been made like unto Gomorrha (Gomorrah).

Israel’s Unbelief

30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath (has) not attained to the law of righteousness.

32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone (stumbling stone);

33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone (stumbling stone) and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him (believes in Him) shall not be ashamed.

OLD TESTAMENT

Psalm 74

Background music:-

Maschil of Asaph.

74 O God (Yah / Yahuah / YHWH), why hast thou cast us off for ever (why have You rejected us forever)? why doth thine (does Your) anger smoke against the sheep of thy (Your) pasture?

Remember thy (Your) congregation, which thou hast (You have) purchased of old; the rod of thine (Your) inheritance, which thou hast (You have) redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt (You have lived).

Lift up thy (Your) feet unto the perpetual desolations (never-ending ruins); even all that the enemy hath (has) done wickedly in the sanctuary.

Thine (Your) enemies roar in the midst of thy (Your) congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs.

A man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees.

But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers.

They have cast fire into thy (Your) sanctuary, they have defiled (tainted) by casting down the dwelling place of thy (Your) name to the ground.

They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God (Yahuah) in the land.

We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long (Nor does any among us know for how long).

10 O God (Yahuah), how long shall the adversary reproach (enemy scoff)? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?

11 Why withdrawest thou thy hand (Why do You withdraw Your hand), even thy (Your) right hand? pluck it out of thy bosom (Your chest).

12 For God (Yahuah) is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.

13 Thou didst (You did) divide the sea by thy (Your) strength: thou brakest (You broke) the heads of the dragons in the waters.

14 Thou brakest (You broke) the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest (gave) him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.

15 Thou didst cleave (You did spilt) the fountain and the flood: thou driedst (You dried) up mighty rivers.

16 The day is thine (Yours), the night also is thine: thou hast (You have) prepared the light and the sun.

17 Thou hast (You have) set all the borders of the earth: thou hast (You have) made summer and winter.

18 Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached (has scoffed), O Lord, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy (Your) name.

19 O deliver not the soul of thy (Your) turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy (Your) poor for ever.

20 Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.

21 O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise thy (Your) name.

22 Arise, O God (Yahuah), plead thine (Your) own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee (mock You) daily.

23 Forget not the voice of thine (Your) enemies: the tumult (uproar) of those that rise up against thee increaseth (You increase) continually.

Psalm 75
King James Version audio with speed control:-

Background music:-

To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of Asaph.

75 Unto thee (You), O God (Yah / Yahuah / YHWH), do we give thanks, unto thee (You) do we give thanks: for that thy (Your) name is near thy (Your) wondrous works declare.

When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.

The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.

I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn (glorification):

Lift not up your horn (glorification) on high: speak not with a stiff neck (stubbornness).

For promotion cometh (comes) neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.

But God (Yahuah) is the judge: he putteth (He puts) down one, and setteth (sets) up another.

For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth (He pours) out of the same: but the dregs (remains) thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring (drains) them out, and drink them.

But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God (Yahuah) of Jacob.

10 All the horns (glorification) of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns (glorification) of the righteous shall be exalted.

Psalm 76
King James Version audio with speed control:-
(NOTE: To pause and to play again, press Fn + F5 on your keyboard)

Background music:-

To the chief Musician, on Neginoth, A Psalm or Song of Asaph.

76 In Judah is God (Yah / Yahuah / YHWH) known: his (His) name is great in Israel.

In Salem also is his (His) tabernacle, and his (His) dwelling place in Zion.

There brake (broke) he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.

Thou art (You are) more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.

The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.

At thy (Your) rebuke, O God (Yahuah) of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep (sleep of death).

Thou (You), even thou (You), art (are) to be feared: and who may stand in thy (Your) sight when once thou art (You are) angry?

Thou didst (You did) cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,

When God (Yahuah) arose to judgment, to save all the meek (humble) of the earth. Selah.

10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee (You): the remainder of wrath shalt thou (extreme anger You) restrain.

11 Vow, and pay unto the Lord your God (Yahuah): let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

12 He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible (He is intense) to the kings of the earth.

THE ORGINAL HEBREW NAME OF THE MESSIAH

The video below is done by a Jewish Hebrew language lady teacher. Her name is Ayelet. She is born and raised in Israel. Hebrew is her native language. In this video, we will be able to learn the correct pronunciation of the Messiah’s original name in Hebrew:-

VIDEO: Jesus – Yeshua in Hebrew – Hebrew Word of the Day (59 secs) – by The WORD in HEBREW

In Hebrew: מָשִׁיחַ (H4899) = Mashiach (Hebrew) = Messiah (English) / Anointed One (the Savior who saves the sinners for those who believe in Him)

FULL NAME in Hebrew text with ‘The’: יְהוֹשׁוּעַ הַמָשִׁיחַ = Yahushua Ha-Mashiach = Yahushua The Anointed One.

Christos > Χριστός (Greek) transliterated into Christ (English) which means Anointed One

NOTES:-

1. Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ (H3442 = He will save) is a shortened form of Yehoshooah / Yahushua יְהוֹשׁוּעַ (H3091 = God / Yah saves). EXAMPLE #1: Mike is a shortened form of Michael. EXAMPLE #2: Josh is a shortened form of Joshua.

2. Yehoshooah as spelt in this manner depicts Joshua יְהוֹשׁוּעַ (H3091 = yeh-ho-SHOO-ah) adds Hosea, יְהוֹשׁוּעַ (H1954 = deliver / salvation). Therefore, Yehoshooah / Yahushua means God is Salvation God  / Yah saves.

3. Yahushua as spelt in this manner depicts that the Messiah came in the name of His Father, Yah יה / יָהּ (H3050) as in John 5:43).

4. Yahusha as spelt in this manner depicts that the Messiah came in the name of His Father, Yahuah יְהוָֹה (H3068), adds Yasha יָשַׁע (H3467 ) which means ‘Saves’. See the diagram below:-
