PARABLE: The Lost Sheep

15 Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him (Now all the tax collectors and sinners [including non-observant Jews] were coming near Yahusha to listen to Him).

And the Pharisees and scribes murmured (grumbled), saying, This man receiveth (receives) sinners, and eateth (eats) with them.

(NOTE: Pharisees (proper noun – plural of Pharisee) = a Jewish group that separated from other Jews and followed strictly the oral law of the Old Testament in ancient Judaism. They separated themselves from impurity and opposed the Messiah / the Son of the Almighty Creator / Yahusha ha’Mashiach (the original name of the Messiah in the Hebrew language) and argued with Him very often)

(NOTE: scribes (noun – plural of scribe) = Jewish learned leaders trained to write and teach the Torah, the law of Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah, the Most High Creator)

And he spake (spoke) this parable unto them, saying,

(NOTE: parable (noun)  = a simple story used to illustrate or explain a moral or spiritual lesson, as told by Yahusha (the original name of the Messiah in the Hebrew language) in the Gospels)

What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth (does) not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

And when he hath (has) found it, he layeth (lays) it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

And when he cometh (comes) home, he calleth (calls) together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth (repents), more than over ninety and nine (99) just persons, which need no repentance.

PARABLE: The Lost Coin

Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth (does) not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?

And when she hath (has) found it, she calleth (calls) her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah over one sinner that repenteth (repents).

Moving the Ark to Jerusalem

6 Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.

And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence (there) the ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah, whose name is called by the name of the 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah of hosts (armythat dwelleth (who lives) between the cherubims.

(NOTE: cherubims = ranked among the higher orders of angels and, as celestial attendants of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah)

And they set the ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave (drove) the new cart.

And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah, accompanying the ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah: and Ahio went before the ark.

And David and all the house of Israel played before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.

And when they came to Nachon’s threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.

And the anger of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah was kindled (flaming) against Uzzah; and 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah smote (struck) him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah.

And David was displeased, because 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah had made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the name of the place Perezuzzah to this day.

And David was afraid of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah that day, and said, How shall the ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah come to me?

10 So David would not remove the ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.

11 And the ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah blessed Obededom, and all his household.

12 And it was told king David, saying, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah hath (has) blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto (belongs to) him, because of the ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah. So David went and brought up the ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.

13 And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.

14 And David danced before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.

15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.

Michal’s Contempt for David

16 And as the ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah came into the city of David, Michal Saul’s daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah; and she despised (hated) him in her heart.

17 And they brought in the ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah.

18 And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah of hosts.

19 And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house.

20 Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth (uncovers) himself!

21 And David said unto Michal, It was before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah, which chose me before thy (your) father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah, over Israel: therefore will I play before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah.

22 And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine (my) own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast (you have) spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.

23 Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.

The ADONAI’S Covenant Promise to David

7 And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah had given him rest round about from all his enemies;

That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell (live) in an house of cedar, but the ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah dwelleth (lives) within curtains.

And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine (your) heart; for 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah is with thee (you).

And it came to pass that night, that the word of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah came unto Nathan, saying,

Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith (says) 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah, Shalt thou (Shall you) build me an house for me to dwell (live) in?

Whereas I have not dwelt (lived) in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.

In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spake (spoke) I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build ye (you) not me an (a) house of cedar?

Now therefore so shalt thou (shall you) say unto my servant David, Thus saith (says) 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah of hosts, I took thee (you) from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:

And I was with thee (you) whithersoever thou wentest (you went), and have cut off all thine (your) enemies out of thy (your) sight, and have made thee (you) a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.

10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell (live) in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,

11 And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee (you) to rest from all thine (your) enemies. Also 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah telleth thee (tells you) that he (He) will make thee an (you a) house.

12 And when thy (your) days be fulfilled, and thou shalt (thou shall) sleep with thy (your) fathers, I will set up thy (your) seed after thee (you), which shall proceed out of thy (your) bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.

13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish (establish ) the throne of his kingdom for ever.

14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity (wrongdoing, sin), I will chasten (discipline) him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:

15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee (you).

16 And thine (your) house and thy (your) kingdom shall be established for ever before thee (you): thy (your) throne shall be established for ever.

17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

David’s Prayer of Thanks

18 Then went king David in, and sat before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah, and he said, Who am I, O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah Elohim? and what is my house, that thou hast (you have) brought me hitherto (this far)?

19 And this was yet a small thing in thy (your) sight, O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah Elohim; but thou hast (you have) spoken also of thy (your) servant’s house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah Elohim?

20 And what can David say more unto thee (you)? for thou (You), 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah Elohim, knowest thy (know your) servant.

21 For thy (your) word’s sake, and according to thine (your) own heart, hast thou done all these great things, to make thy (your) servant know them.

22 Wherefore thou art (For You are) great, O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah Elohim: for there is none like thee (you), neither is there any Elohim beside thee (You), according to all that we have heard with our ears.

23 And what one nation in the earth is like thy (your) people, even like Israel, whom Elohim went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy (your) land, before thy (your) people, which thou redeemedst (you have redeemed) to thee (you) from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?

24 For thou hast (you have) confirmed to thyself thy (yourself your) people Israel to be a people unto thee (you) for ever: and thou (You), 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah, art (have) become their Elohim.

25 And now, O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah Elohim, the word that thou hast (you have) spoken concerning thy (your) servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as thou hast (you have) said.

26 And let thy (your) name be magnified for ever, saying, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah of hosts (army) is the Elohim over Israel: and let the house of thy (your) servant David be established before thee (you).

27 For thou (You), O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah of hosts (army), Elohim of Israel, hast (has) revealed to thy (your) servant, saying, I will build thee (you) an (a) house: therefore hath (has) thy (your) servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee (you).

28 And now, O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah Elohim, thou art (You are) that Elohim, and thy (your) words be true, and thou hast (you have) promised this goodness unto thy (your) servant:

29 Therefore now let it please thee (you) to bless the house of thy (your) servant, that it may continue for ever before thee (you): for thou (You), O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah Elohim, hast (has) spoken it: and with thy (your) blessing let the house of thy (your) servant be blessed for ever.

David’s Military  Victories

8 And after this it came to pass that David smote (defeated) the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took Methegammah out of the hand of the Philistines.

And he smote (defeated) Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David’s servants, and brought gifts.

David smote (defeated) also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates.

And David took from him a thousand (1,000) chariots, and seven hundred (700) horsemen, and twenty thousand (20,000) footmen: and David houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for an hundred chariots.

And when the Syrians of Damascus came to succour Hadadezer king of Zobah, David slew (killed) of the Syrians two and twenty thousand (22,000) men.

Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah preserved David whithersoever he went.

And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.

And from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took exceeding much brass.

When Toi king of Hamath heard that David had smitten (defeated) all the host of Hadadezer,

10 Then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer, and smitten (defeated) him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And Joram brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass:

11 Which also king David did dedicate unto 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah, with the silver and gold that he had dedicated of all nations which he subdued;

12 Of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.

13 And David gat him a name (made a name for himself) when he returned from smiting (defeating) of the Syrians in the valley of salt, being eighteen thousand (18,000) men.

14 And he put garrisons (troops) in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David’s servants. And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah preserved David whithersoever he went.

15 And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people.

16 And Joab the son of Zeruiah [commander] was over the host (army); and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder (secretary);

17 And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Seraiah was the scribe;

18 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David’s sons were chief rulers.

SCRIPTURE REFERENCES FOR SPIRITUAL AWAKENING

Here are some important Scripture references for spiritual awakening. Please remember to read your Holy Bible and pray everyday because this is how our heavenly Father speaks to us. Make sure you read the entire Holy Bible. Write down each and every commandment, statute (written law) and instruction given by 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah in His Word. Obey and practice ALL OF THEM.

Having difficulties to discipline yourself to read the Holy Bible daily? Then you are in trouble! Stop deceiving yourselves!

WARNING from 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah Himself: The Word of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah warned that if we do not have His word abiding (remaining) in us, then we are NOT believers (NOT saved)! WAKE UP PEOPLE! Read John 5:38:-

John 5:38 King James Version (KJV)
And ye (you) have not his word (His Word) abiding (remaining) in you: for whom he hath (He / Yahuah has) sent, him ye believe not (Him you not believe).

Revelation 22:14 King James Version (KJV)
14 Blessed are they that do his (His) commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

James 1:22 King James Version (KJV)
But be ye (you) doers of the word (Word), and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Galatians 6:7 King James Version (KJV)
Be not deceived; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth (sows / puts in / plants / spreads), that shall he also reap (harvest / attain / get).

Galatians 6:3 King James Version (KJV)
For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth (deceives / is deceiving) himself.

1 Corinthians 15:33 King James Version (KJV)
Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

Colossians 2:8 King James Version (KJV)
Beware lest any man (Beware, otherwise others may) spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit (deception), after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ (following the elementary principles of this world, rather than following [the truth—the teachings of] Mashiach).

1 Thessalonians 5:11 King James Version (KJV)
“Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye (you) do.”

Hebrews 3:13 King James Version (KJV)
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

John 7:27 King James Version (KJV)
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Matthew 7:1-5 King James Version (KJV)
1 Judge not, that ye (you) be not judged.

(AMP BIBLE: 1 Do not judge and criticize and condemn [others unfairly with an attitude of self-righteous superiority as though assuming the office of a judge], so that you will not be judged [unfairly].)

For with what judgment ye (you) judge, ye (you) shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete (you punish), it shall be measured to you again.

(AMP BIBLE: 2 For just as you [hypocritically] judge others [when you are sinful and unrepentant], so will you be judged; and in accordance with your standard of measure [used to pass out judgment], judgment will be measured to you.)

And why beholdest thou the mote (And why do you look at the tiny piece / speck) that is in thy (your) brother’s eye, but considerest (consider / notice) not the beam (long timber / log) that is in thine (your) own eye?

Or how wilt thou (will you) say to thy (your) brother, Let me pull out the mote (tiny piece / speck) out of thine (your) eye; and, behold (look), a beam (long timber / log) is in thine (your) own eye?

Thou (You) hypocrite, first cast (throw) out the beam out of thine (your) own eye; and then shalt thou see (shall you) clearly to cast (throw) out the mote (tiny piece / speck) out of thy (your) brother’s eye.

Matthew 6:14-15 King James Version (KJV)
14 For if ye (you) forgive men their trespasses (wrongdoings / sins), your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 But if ye forgive not (For if you do not forgive) men their trespasses (wrongdoings / sins), neither will your Father forgive your trespasses (wrongdoings / sins).

Matthew 6:14-15 King James Version (KJV)
14 For if ye (you) forgive men their trespasses (wrongdoings / sins), your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

John 3:16-18 King James Version (KJV)
16 For 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH Yahuah so loved the world, that he gave his (that He gave His) only begotten Son [Yahusha ha’Mashiach], that whosoever believeth in him (believes in Him) should not perish, but have everlasting (eternal) life.

17 For 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH Yahuah sent not his (did not send His) Son into the world to condemn (disapprove) the world; but that the world through him (Him) might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him (believes [and] decided to trust Him [as personal Savior and Adon]) is not condemned: but he that believeth not believeth (but he that does not believe) is condemned already, because he hath (has) not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah [which is Yahusha ha’Mashiach].
