Teaching About Prayer
11 And it came to pass, that, (And it happened like this that) as he (He) was praying in a certain place, when he ceased (He stopped), one of his (His) disciples said unto him (Him), Adon (Master), teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
Yahusha’s Prayer
2 And he (He) said unto them, When ye (you) pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed (Holy) be thy (is your) name. Thy (Your) kingdom come. Thy (Your) will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
PARABLE: Persistence in Asking
5 And he (He) said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;
6 For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?
7 And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee (you).
8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth (needs).
9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye (you) shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
10 For every one that asketh receiveth (asks receives); and he that seeketh findeth (seeks finds); and to him that knocketh (knocks) it shall be opened.
11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
13 If ye (you) then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Ruach ha’Qodesh to them that ask him (Him)?
Yahusha and the Chief of the Devils
14 And he (He) was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass (And it indeed happened), when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake (spoke); and the people wondered.
15 But some of them said, He casteth (casts) out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.
(NOTE: Beelzebub (proper noun) = Strong’s Concordance: H954. Beelzeboul: Original Word in Hebrew: Βεελζεβούλ, ὁ = Beelzeboul: Beelzebul, a name of Satan. Beelzebub, often referred to as the “Lord of the Flies,” is a name derived from a Philistine god worshipped in Ekron, and it later became associated with Satan in Christian theology. The name signifies a high-ranking demon or the prince of demons, representing evil spirits and is mentioned in the New Testament)
16 And others, tempting him (Him), sought of him (Him) a sign from heaven.
17 But he (He), knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation (destruction); and a house divided against a house falleth (falls).
18 If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye (you) say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.
19 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges.
20 But if I with the finger of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah is come upon you.
21 When a strong man armed keepeth (keeps) his palace, his goods are in peace:
22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh (takes) from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth (divides) his spoils (stolen goods).
23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth (gathers) not with me scattereth (scatters).
24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh (walks) through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith (said), I will return unto my house whence (where) I came out.
25 And when he cometh (comes), he findeth (finds) it swept and garnished.
26 Then goeth (goes) he, and taketh to him (brings) seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell (live) there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
27 And it came to pass (And it indeed happened), as he spake (as He was speaking) these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him (Him), Blessed is the womb that bare thee (gave birth to you), and the paps (breasts) which thou hast sucked (you have nursed on).
28 But he (He) said, Yea (Yes) rather, baruk are they that hear the word (Word) of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah, and keep it.

Goliath Challenges the Israelites
17 Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at Shochoh, which belongeth (belongs) to Judah, and pitched between Shochoh and Azekah, in Ephesdammim.
2 And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and pitched by the valley of Elah, and set the battle in array against the Philistines (and assembled in battle formation to meet the Philistines).
3 And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them.
4 And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span (about six feet and six inches).
5 And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass.
6 And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders.
7 And the staff of his spear was like a weaver’s beam; and his spear’s head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him.
8 And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array (Why have you come out to draw up for battle)? am not I a Philistine, and ye (you) servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.
9 If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye (you) be our servants, and serve us.
10 And the Philistine said, I defy (resist) the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.
11 When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.
Jesse Sends David to Saul’s Camp
12 Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehemjudah, whose name was Jesse; and he had eight sons: and the man went among men for an old man in the days of Saul.
13 And the three eldest sons of Jesse went and followed Saul to the battle: and the names of his three sons that went to the battle were Eliab the firstborn, and next unto him Abinadab, and the third Shammah.
14 And David was the youngest: and the three eldest followed Saul.
15 But David went and returned from Saul to feed his father’s sheep at Bethlehem.
16 And the Philistine drew near morning and evening, and presented himself forty days.
17 And Jesse said unto David his son, Take now for thy brethren (your brothers) an ephah of this parched corn, and these ten loaves, and run to the camp of thy brethren (your brothers);
18 And carry these ten cheeses unto the captain of their thousand, and look how thy brethren (your brothers) fare, and take their pledge.
19 Now Saul, and they, and all the men of Israel, were in the valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines.
20 And David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, as Jesse had commanded him; and he came to the trench, as the host was going forth to the fight, and shouted for the battle.
21 For Israel and the Philistines had put the battle in array, army against army.
22 And David left his carriage in the hand of the keeper of the carriage, and ran into the army, and came and saluted his brethren (brothers).
23 And as he talked with them, behold, there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the armies of the Philistines, and spake (spoke) according to the same words: and David heard them.
24 And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore (extremely) afraid.
25 And the men of Israel said, Have ye (you) seen this man that is come up? surely to defy (resist) Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth (kills) him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father’s house free in Israel.
26 And David spake (spoke) to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth (kills) this Philistine, and taketh (takes) away the reproach (disgrace) from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living Elohim?
27 And the people answered him after this manner, saying, So shall it be done to the man that killeth (kills) him.
28 And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto (spoke to) the men; and Eliab’s anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither (Why did you come here)? and with whom hast thou (have you) left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy (your) pride, and the naughtiness of thine (your) heart; for thou art (you have) come down that thou mightest (you might) see the battle.
29 And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?
30 And he turned from him toward another, and spake (spoke) after the same manner: and the people answered him again after the former manner.
David Kills Goliath
31 And when the words were heard which David spake (spoke), they rehearsed them before Saul: and he sent for him.
32 And David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.
33 And Saul said to David, Thou art (You are) not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.
34 And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:
35 And I went out after him, and smote (struck) him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote (struck) him, and slew (killed) him.
36 Thy servant slew (killed) both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath (has) defied the armies of the living God.
37 David said moreover, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah be with thee (you).
38 And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.
39 And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.
40 And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd’s bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.
41 And the Philistine came on and drew near unto David; and the man that bare the shield went before him.
42 And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy (healthy complexion), and of a fair countenance (a handsome appearance).
43 And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves (that you come to me with [shepherd’s] staffs)? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.
44 And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy (your) flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.
45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest (You came) to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee (you) in the name of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah of hosts, the Elohim of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied (whom you have insulted).
46 This day will 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah deliver thee (you) into mine hand; and I will smite thee (you), and take thine (your) head from thee (you); and I will give the carcases (corpses) of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is an Elohim in Israel.
47 And all this assembly shall know that 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah saveth (saves) not with sword and spear: for the battle belongs to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah and he will give you into our hands.
48 And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh (near) to meet David, that David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.
49 And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote (struck) the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.
Israel Routs the Philistines
50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote (struck) the Philistine, and slew (killed) him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.
51 Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew (killed) him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.
52 And the men of Israel and of Judah arose, and shouted, and pursued the Philistines, until thou come to the valley, and to the gates of Ekron. And the wounded of the Philistines fell down by the way to Shaaraim, even unto Gath, and unto Ekron.
53 And the children of Israel returned from chasing after the Philistines, and they spoiled their tents.
54 And David took the head of the Philistine, and brought it to Jerusalem; but he put his armour in his tent.
55 And when Saul saw David go forth against the Philistine, he said unto Abner, the captain of the host, Abner, whose son is this youth? And Abner said, As thy (your) soul liveth (lives), O king, I cannot tell.
56 And the king said, Enquire thou (you) whose son the stripling is.
57 And as David returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, Abner took him, and brought him before Saul with the head of the Philistine in his hand.
58 And Saul said to him, Whose son art thou (are you), thou (you) young man? And David answered, I am the son of thy servant Jesse the Bethlehemite.

Saul Becomes Jealous of David
18 And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.
2 And Saul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father’s house.
3 Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.
4 And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle.
5 And David went out whithersoever (wherever) Saul sent him, and behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people, and also in the sight of Saul’s servants.
6 And it came to pass as they came, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of musick (music).
7 And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul hath slain (has killed) his thousands, and David his ten thousands.
8 And Saul was very wroth (extremely angry), and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed but thousands: and what can he have more but the kingdom?
9 And Saul eyed David from that day and forward.
10 And it came to pass on the morrow (the next day), that the evil spirit from 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul’s hand.
11 And Saul cast the javelin; for he said, I will smite (kill) David even to the wall with it. And David avoided out of his presence twice.
12 And Saul was afraid of David, because 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah was with him, and was departed from Saul.
13 Therefore Saul removed him from him, and made him his captain over a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people.
14 And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah was with him.
15 Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was afraid of him.
16 But all Israel and Judah loved David, because he went out and came in before them.
David Marries Saul’s Daughter
17 And Saul said to David, Behold (Look) my elder daughter Merab, her will I give thee (you) to wife: only be thou valiant for me (only be brave for me), and fight the battles of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah. For Saul said, Let not mine (my) hand be upon him, but let the hand of the Philistines be upon him.
18 And David said unto Saul, Who am I? and what is my life, or my father’s family in Israel, that I should be son in law to the king?
19 But it came to pass (it indeed happened) at the time when Merab Saul’s daughter should have been given to David, that she was given unto Adriel the Meholathite to wife.
20 And Michal Saul’s daughter loved David: and they told Saul, and the thing pleased him.
21 And Saul said, I will give him her, that she may be a snare (trap) to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him. Wherefore Saul said to David, Thou shalt (You shall) this day be my son in law in the one of the twain (two).
22 And Saul commanded his servants, saying, Commune (Talk) with David secretly, and say, Behold (Look), the king hath (has) delight in thee (you), and all his servants love thee (you): now therefore be the king’s son in law.
23 And Saul’s servants spake (spoke) those words in the ears of David. And David said, Seemeth (Seems) it to you a light thing to be a king’s son in law, seeing that I am a poor man, and lightly esteemed?
24 And the servants of Saul told him, saying, On this manner spake (spoke) David.
25 And Saul said, Thus shall ye (you) say to David, The king desireth (desires) not any dowry, but an hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to be avenged of the king’s enemies. But Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.
26 And when his servants told David these words, it pleased David well to be the king’s son in law: and the days were not expired.
27 Wherefore David arose and went, he and his men, and slew of the Philistines two hundred men; and David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full tale to the king, that he might be the king’s son in law. And Saul gave him Michal his daughter to wife.
28 And Saul saw and knew that 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah was with David, and that Michal Saul’s daughter loved him.
29 And Saul was yet the more afraid of David; and Saul became David’s enemy continually.
30 Then the princes of the Philistines went forth: and it came to pass (and it happened like this), after they went forth, that David behaved himself more wisely than all the servants of Saul; so that his name was much set by.

WARNING from 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah Himself: The Word of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah warned that if we do not have His word abiding (remaining) in us, then we are NOT believers (saved)! WAKE UP PEOPLE! Read John 5:38:-
John 5:38 King James Version (KJV)
And ye (you) have not his word (His Word) abiding (remaining) in you: for whom he hath (He / Yahuah has) sent, him ye believe not (Him you not believe).

Colossians 2:8 King James Version (KJV)
Beware lest any man (Beware, otherwise others may) spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit (deception), after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ (following the elementary principles of this world, rather than following [the truth—the teachings of] Mashiach).
1 Thessalonians 5:11 King James Version (KJV)
“Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye (you) do.”
Hebrews 3:13 King James Version (KJV)
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
John 7:27 King James Version (KJV)
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
Matthew 7:1-5 King James Version (KJV)
1 Judge not, that ye (you) be not judged.
(AMP BIBLE: 1 Do not judge and criticize and condemn [others unfairly with an attitude of self-righteous superiority as though assuming the office of a judge], so that you will not be judged [unfairly].)
2 For with what judgment ye (you) judge, ye (you) shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete (you punish), it shall be measured to you again.
(AMP BIBLE: 2 For just as you [hypocritically] judge others [when you are sinful and unrepentant], so will you be judged; and in accordance with your standard of measure [used to pass out judgment], judgment will be measured to you.)
3 And why beholdest thou the mote (And why do you look at the tiny piece / speck) that is in thy (your) brother’s eye, but considerest (consider / notice) not the beam (long timber / log) that is in thine (your) own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou (will you) say to thy (your) brother, Let me pull out the mote (tiny piece / speck) out of thine (your) eye; and, behold (look), a beam (long timber / log) is in thine (your) own eye?
5 Thou (You) hypocrite, first cast (throw) out the beam out of thine (your) own eye; and then shalt thou see (shall you) clearly to cast (throw) out the mote (tiny piece / speck) out of thy (your) brother’s eye.
Matthew 6:14-15 King James Version (KJV)
14 For if ye (you) forgive men their trespasses (wrongdoings / sins), your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

17 For 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH Yahuah sent not his (did not send His) Son into the world to condemn (disapprove) the world; but that the world through him (Him) might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him (believes [and] decided to trust Him [as personal Savior and Adon]) is not condemned: but he that believeth not believeth (but he that does not believe) is condemned already, because he hath (has) not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah [which is Yahusha ha’Mashiach].
