Peter and John before the Council
4 And as they spake unto (spoke to) the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
(NOTE: Sadducee = A member of a Jewish sect or party of the time of Yeshua Ha-Mashiach that denied the resurrection of the dead, the existence of spirits, and the obligation of oral tradition, emphasizing acceptance of the written Law alone)
2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus (Yeshua) the resurrection from the dead.
(NOTE: resurrect = Restore a dead person to life)
3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide (evening).
4 Howbeit (But) many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand (5,000) .
5 And it came to pass on the morrow (the next day), that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,
(NOTE: scribes = Jewish learned leaders trained to write and teach the Torah, the law of God)
6 And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred (relatives) of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.
7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye (you) done this?
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit), said unto them, Ye (You) rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent (disabled) man, by what means he is made whole (well);
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha-Mashiach) of Nazareth, whom ye (you) crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole (by the authority and power of Yeshua] this man stands here before you in good health).
(NOTE: crucify = Put someone to death by nailing or binding them to a cross, especially as an ancient punishment for criminals)
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of (rejected by) you builders, which is become the head of the corner (the chief cornerstone).
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned (uneducated) and ignorant men, they marvelled (were amazed); and they took knowledge of them (and began to recognize), that they had been with Jesus (Yeshua).
14 And beholding (seeing) the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred (discussed) among themselves,
16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath (has) been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it (For the fact that an extraordinary miracle has taken place through them is public knowledge and clearly evident to all the residents of Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it).
17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth (again) to no man in this name.
18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus (Yeshua).
19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto (pay attention to) you more than unto God, judge ye (you).
20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.
22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed (shown).

28 And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters (gatekeepers), the singers, the Nethinims, and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge, and having understanding;
29 They clave to their brethren (joined with their fellow Israelites brothers), their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God’s law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the Lord our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;
30 And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, not take their daughters for our sons:
31 And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals (bring merchandise or any grain) on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction (demand) of every debt.
32 Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God;
33 For the shewbread, and for the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.
34 And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, after the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of the Lord our God, as it is written in the law:
35 And to bring the firstfruits of our ground, and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, unto the house of the Lord:
36 Also the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, unto the priests that minister in the house of our God:
37 And that we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.
38 And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house.
39 For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God.

THE ORGINAL HEBREW NAME OF THE MESSIAH
The video below is done by a Jewish Hebrew language lady teacher. Her name is Ayelet. She is born and raised in Israel. Hebrew is her native language. In this video, we will be able to learn the correct pronunciation of the Messiah’s original name in Hebrew:-
VIDEO: Jesus – Yeshua in Hebrew – Hebrew Word of the Day (59 secs) – by The WORD in HEBREW
In Hebrew: מָשִׁיחַ (H4899) = Mashiach = Messiah (English) / Anointed One
In Hebrew (full name): יְהוֹשׁוּעַ הַמָשִׁיחַ = Yahushua Ha-Mashiach = Yahushua The Anointed One. NOTE: Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ (H3442 = He will save) is a shortened form of Yehoshooah / Yahushua יְהוֹשׁוּעַ (H3091 = God / Yah saves). Yahushua as spelt in this manner depicts that the Messiah came in the name of His Father, Yah יה / יָהּ (H3050) as in John 5:43).
In Greek = Christos
In English = Christ = Messiah = Anointed One
