THE LORD'S PRAYER & Praying in tongues | NKJV | Praise & Worship
(Female Narrator)
1) What is The Lord’s Prayer in the Holy Bible?

This is a prayer guide taught by Jesus Christ himself when He was asked by his disciples on how to pray. This can be found in the book of Matthew, chapter 6, verses 9 to 13 (Matthew 6:9-13).

It is an easy prayer guide yet comprehensive prayer guide that we can use it as a basic prayer guide in our daily prayers. We strongly recommend everyone to memorize this prayer and pray this prayer at least once a day. We then can add on our own prayers.

2) The meaning of The Lord’s Prayer line by line

This prayer covers every area that needs to be covered. Below is a the meaning of The Lord’s Prayer in the Holy Bible line by line:-

1.1) Addressing Father Lord in heaven in great reverence > Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name
1.2) Welcoming God’s kingdom as how we welcome Him into our lives > Your kingdom come
1.3) Acknowledging God’s will to be done, not ours > Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven
1.4) Asking for God’s daily provision > Give us this day our daily bread
1.5) Repenting from our sins > And forgive us our debts
1.6) Forgiving those who have sinned against us > As we forgive our debtors
1.7) Request for protection from God > And do not lead us into temptation but deliver us from the evil one
1.8) Proclamation of God’s Power > For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
1.9) Concluding the Prayer > Amen. (Note: Amen in Hebrew: אָמֵן, ʾāmēn. The word ‘Amen’ appeared many times in the Holy Bible. It is normally an acceptance and a confirmation of a prayer or a statement).

3) Why do we need to pray at all times?

3.1) Prayer is a form of communication with our Father in heaven. We can talk to our heavenly Father as He listens to us when we pray earnestly and openly. He will rescue us from every evil:-

Jeremiah 29:12 King James Version (KJV)

12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

2 Timothy 4:18 King James Version (KJV)
18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

3.2) We need to do so because Satan or the devil and his disciples are working very hard to take our souls to hell by making us weak so we sin against God. If we pray at all times, we keep ourselves close to God and stay strong in our walk with God so we may be able to stand against the wiles (tricks, schemes, sleights, artifices, devices, dodges, fetches, flimflams, gambits, gimmicks, jigs) of the devil as mentioned in Ephesians 6:11.

Also if we pray for others as in Ephesians 6:18, we are practicing Philippians 4:6 in which we are to pray about anything instead of worrying:-

Ephesians 6:10-18 New King James Version (NKJV)

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

Philippians 4:6 King James Version (KJV)

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

3.3) Praying for everyone is good because this will help lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way which is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior:-

1 Timothy 2:1-4 King James Version (KJV)

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

3.4) Praying helps wounded heart to be healed:-

4) Jesus’ prayer guide

Matthew 6:5-9 King James Version (KJV)

And when thou prayest (you pray), thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

But thou, when thou prayest (you pray), enter into thy closet (your private room), and when thou hast (you have) shut thy (your) door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy (your) Father which seeth (who sees) in secret shall reward thee openly.

But when ye pray (you pray), use not vain (worthless) repetitions, as the heathen (Gentiles; not a Jewish, a person without a religion) do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Be not ye (you) therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth (knows) what things ye (you) have need of, before ye (you) ask him.

After this manner therefore pray ye (you): (NOTE: Begin of The Lord’s prayer:) Our Father which art (who are) in heaven, Hallowed (Holy) be thy (Your) name.
