Paul Condemns Spiritual Pride

5 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife.

(NOTE: fornication = voluntary sexual intercourse between unmarried persons or outside of marriage)

(NOTE: Gentiles = anyone who is not of Jewish descent or who does not believe in God [Yahuah]; heathen, pagan)

And ye are puffed up (And you are proud), and have not rather mourned, that he that hath (has) done this deed might be taken away from among you.

For I verily (truthfully), as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath (has) so done this deed,

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Aḏon Yahusha HaMashiach), when ye (you) are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ (Aḏon Yahusha HaMashiach),

To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus (Aḏon Yahusha).

Your glorying is not good. Know ye (you) not that a little leaven (yeast) leaveneth (ferments, leavens, raises, swells) the whole lump?

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye (you) may be a new lump, as ye (you) are unleavened. For even Christ our passover (Mashiach our Pesach) is sacrificed for us:

(NOTE: passover (as in the context of 1 Corinthians 5:7) = The Passover lamb (Pesach H6543)in Egypt foreshadows Yahusha, our Passover Lamb.  The blood of the Passover Lamb rescued the Hebrew people from slavery [Exodus 12:1-28]. Similarly, we are freed from the slavery (bonds) of sin by the blood of Yahusha HaMashiach)

Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice (the intention or desire to do evil) and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

I wrote unto you in an epistle (a letter) not to company with fornicators:

10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs (you need) go out of the world.

11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye (you) judge them that are within?

13 But them that are without God judgeth (Yahuah judges). Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Psalm 110

Background music:-

A Psalm of David.

110 The Lord (𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah / Yah / Aḏonai) said unto my Lord (the Messiah, His Son, Yahusha, Aḏoni), Sit thou (You) at my right hand, until I make thine (Your) enemies thy (Your) footstool.

2 The Lord (𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah / Yah / Aḏonai) shall send the rod of thy (Your) strength out of Zion: rule thou (You) in the midst of thine (Your) enemies.

Thy (Your) people shall be willing in the day of thy (Your) power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast (You have) the dew of thy (Your) youth.

4 The Lord (𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah / Yah / Aḏonaihath (has) sworn, and will not repent, Thou art (You are) a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

5 The Lord (𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah / Yah / Aḏonai)  at thy (Your) right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath (God’s extreme anger).

He shall judge among the heathen (nations), he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.

He shall drink of the brook (small stream) in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.

Psalm 111
King James Version audio with speed control:-
(NOTE: To pause and to play again, press Fn + F5 on your keyboard)

Background music:-

111 Praise ye the Lord (HalleluYah!). I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.

The works of the Lord (𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah / Yah / Aḏonai)  are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.

His work is honourable and glorious: and his (His) righteousness endureth (endures, lasts) for ever.

He hath (has) made his (His) wonderful works to be remembered: the Lord is gracious and full of compassion.

He hath (has) given meat unto them that fear him (Him): he (He) will ever be mindful of his covenant.

He hath shewed (has showed) his people the power of his works, that he (He) may give them the heritage of the heathen (nations).

The works of his (His) hands are verity (truth) and judgment; all his (His) commandments are sure.

They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.

He sent redemption unto his (His) people: he hath (He has) commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his (His) name.

10 The fear of the Lord (𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah / Yah / Aḏonai)  is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his (His) commandments: his (His) praise endureth (endures, lasts) for ever.

Psalm 112
King James Version audio with speed control:-
(NOTE: To pause and to play again, press Fn + F5 on your keyboard)

Background music:-

112 Praise ye the Lord (HalleluYah!). Blessed is the man that feareth (fears) the Lord, that delighteth (delights) greatly in his (His) commandments.

His seed (descendants) shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth (endures, lasts) for ever.

Unto the upright there ariseth (arises) light in the darkness: he (He) is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

A good man sheweth (shows) favour, and lendeth (lends): he will guide his affairs with discretion.

Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings (news): his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord (𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah / Yah / Aḏonai) .

His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

He hath (has) dispersed, he hath(He has) given to the poor; his (His) righteousness endureth (endures, lasts) for ever; his (His) horn shall be exalted with honour.

10 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

(NOTE: gnash with teeth = grinds the teeth together in extreme pain or anger)
