The Faith of Abraham

4 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath (has) found?

For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath (has) whereof to glory; but not before God (Yahuah, Yah, YHWH).

For what saith the scripture (For what does the Scripture say)? Abraham believed God (Yahuah, Yah, YHWH), and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt (Now to a laborer, his wages are not credited as a favor or a gift, but as an obligation [something owed to him]).

But to him that worketh not (But to the one who does not work [to earn his salvation]), but believeth on him (believes in Him) that justifieth (justifies) the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Even as David also describeth (describes) the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works (to whom God [Yahuah, Yah, YHWH] credits righteousness apart from works),

Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities (sins) are forgiven, and whose sins are covered (buried).

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin (whose sin God [Yahuah, Yah, YHWH] will not take into account nor charge against him).

Cometh (Come) this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned (credited) to Abraham for righteousness.

(NOTE: circumcision (noun) = This word is the name of the act in performing a minor surgery to cut off the foreskin of a young boy or man, especially a baby, as a religious rite, especially in Judaism and Islam, or as a medical treatment)

10 How was it then reckoned (How then was it credited [to him])? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.

11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto (credited to) them also:

12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.

13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed (descendant), through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void (nullified, cancelled), and the promise made of none effect:

15 Because the law worketh wrath (works extreme anger): for where no law is, there is no transgression (offence, wrongdoing, sin).

16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed (descendant); not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

17 (As it is written, I have made thee (you) a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God (Yahuah, Yah, YHWH), who quickeneth (gives life to) the dead, and calleth (calls) those things which be not as though they were.

18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed (your descendant) be.

19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an (a) hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb:

20 He staggered not at the promise of God (Yahuah, Yah, YHWH) through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God (Yahuah, Yah, YHWH);

21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

22 And therefore it was imputed (credited) to him for righteousness.

23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed (credited) to him;

24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed (credited), if we believe on him that raised up Jesus (Yahushua / Yeshua) our Lord (Messiah) from the dead;

25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

OLD TESTAMENT

Psalm 57
King James Version audio with speed control:-
(NOTE: To pause and to play again, press Fn + F5 on your keyboard)

Background music:-

To the Chief Musician, Al-taschith, Mictham of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave.

57 Be merciful unto me, O God (Yahuah, Yah, YHWH), be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth (trusts) in thee (You): yea (yes), in the shadow of thy (Your) wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities (disasters) be overpast.

I will cry unto God (Yahuah) most high; unto God (Yahuah) that performeth (performs) all things for me.

He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God (Yahuah) shall send forth his mercy and his truth.

(NOTESelah (noun) = This word is the name of the suspension of music, i.e. pause [H5542 – סֶלָה]).

My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.

Be thou (You) exalted, O God (Yahuah), above the heavens; let thy (Your) glory be above all the earth.

They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged (dug) a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah.

My heart is fixed, O God (Yahuah), my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.

Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

I will praise thee (You), O Lord (Almighty Yahuah), among the people: I will sing unto thee (You) among the nations.

10 For thy (Your) mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy (Your) truth unto the clouds.

11 Be thou (You) exalted, O God (Yahuah), above the heavens: let thy (Your) glory be above all the earth.

Psalm 58
King James Version audio with speed control:-
(NOTE: To pause and to play again, press Fn + F5 on your keyboard)

Background music:-

To the Chief Musician, Al-taschith, Mictham of David.

58 Do ye (you) indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye (you) judge uprightly, O ye (you) sons of men?

Yea (Yes), in heart ye (you) work wickedness; ye (you) weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.

The wicked are estranged (alienated) from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth (stops) her ear;

(NOTE: adder (noun) = A small venomous Eurasian snake that has a dark zigzag pattern on its back and bears live young)

Which will not hearken (not pay attention) to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.

Break their teeth, O God (Yahuah), in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Lord.

Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth (bends) his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.

As a snail which melteth (melts), let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.

Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath (extreme anger).

10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth (sees) the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

11 So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God (Yahuah) that judgeth (judges) in the earth.

Psalm 59
King James Version audio with speed control:-
(NOTE: To pause and to play again, press Fn + F5 on your keyboard)

Background music:-

To the Chief Musician, Al-taschith, Mictham of David, when Saul sent, and they watched the house to kill him.

59 Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God (Yahuah): defend me from them that rise up against me.

Deliver me from the workers of iniquity (sin), and save me from bloody men.

For, lo, (Look) they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Lord.

They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me, and behold.

Thou (You) therefore, O Lord God (O Almighty Yahuah)of hosts, the God (Yahuah) of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen (nations): be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.

They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.

Behold, they belch (spit) out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth (do) hear?

But thou (You), O Lord, shalt (shall) laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision (You scoff at and deride all the nations).

Because of his strength will I wait upon thee (You): for God (Yahuah) is my defence.

10 The God (Yahuah) of my mercy shall prevent me: God (Yahuah) shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.

11 Slay (Kill) them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy (Your) power; and bring them down, O Lord (Almighty Yah) our shield.

12 For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.

13 Consume them in wrath (extreme anger), consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth (Yahuah rules) in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah.

14 And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.

15 Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied.

16 But I will sing of thy (Your) power; yea (yes), I will sing aloud of thy (Your) mercy in the morning: for thou hast (You have) been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.

17 Unto thee (You), O my strength, will I sing: for God (Yahuah) is my defence, and the God (Yahuah) of my mercy.

THE ORGINAL HEBREW NAME OF THE MESSIAH

The video below is done by a Jewish Hebrew language lady teacher. Her name is Ayelet. She is born and raised in Israel. Hebrew is her native language. In this video, we will be able to learn the correct pronunciation of the Messiah’s original name in Hebrew:-

VIDEO: Jesus – Yeshua in Hebrew – Hebrew Word of the Day (59 secs) – by The WORD in HEBREW

In Hebrew: מָשִׁיחַ (H4899) = Mashiach (Hebrew) = Messiah (English) / Anointed One (the Savior who saves the sinners for those who believe in Him)

FULL NAME in Hebrew text with ‘The’: יְהוֹשׁוּעַ הַמָשִׁיחַ = Yahushua Ha-Mashiach = Yahushua The Anointed One.

Christos > Χριστός (Greek) transliterated into Christ (English) which means Anointed One

NOTES:-

1. Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ (H3442 = He will save) is a shortened form of Yehoshooah / Yahushua יְהוֹשׁוּעַ (H3091 = God / Yah saves). EXAMPLE #1: Mike is a shortened form of Michael. EXAMPLE #2: Josh is a shortened form of Joshua.

2. Yehoshooah as spelt in this manner depicts Joshua יְהוֹשׁוּעַ (H3091 = yeh-ho-SHOO-ah) adds Hosea, יְהוֹשׁוּעַ (H1954 = deliver / salvation). Therefore, Yehoshooah / Yahushua means God is Salvation God / Yah saves.

3. Yahushua as spelt in this manner depicts that the Messiah came in the name of His Father, Yah יה / יָהּ (H3050) as in John 5:43).

4. Yahusha as spelt in this manner depicts that the Messiah came in the name of His Father, Yahuah יְהוָֹה (H3068), adds Yasha יָשַׁע (H3467 ) which means ‘Saves’. See the diagram below:-
