~~~ POINT #1 ~~~
POINT #1
NEW TESTAMENT:-
1) S = Scripture – Write down the scripture verse / verses / passage that speaks to your heart.
# THE SCRIPTURE THAT SPOKE TO MY HEART:-
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
2.1) In Acts 4:8 says that the Holy Spirit gives us the wisdom and boldness as Peter and John had experienced them.
2.2) Earlier few days, we had been learning a lot about the Holy Spirit. Today, we are learning that the Holy Spirit gives us wisdom and boldness.
2.3) What are we be bold about?:-
Well about what Jesus did, namely:-
- He healed the sick.
- He raised the dead.
- He made the lame (paralytic) to walk.
- He made the blind to see.
- He made the mute to talk.
- He casted out demons for those who had been possessed by demons.
- He cured the woman with bleeding issue.
- Calming the storm
- Miraculous catch of fish
- Feeding the multitude
- Walking on water
and many many more….
Of ALL THE MIRACLES that Jesus performed, He did the greatest sacrifice that no one else in history had done for us which is, He chose to take all the punishment for ALL sinners in the world and laid down His life just so that YOU AND I do not have to end up in HELL eternally:-
John 3:16-17 (KJV)
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
In summary, being wise and bold shows that we have been filled with the Holy Spirit.
3) A = Application – Explain how this scripture can be applied in our lives.
Let us remind ourselves TO BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT SO WE CAN BE WISE AND BOLD LIKE PETER AND JOHN.
4) P = Prayer – Pray (speak to Abba Father) according to the scripture and ask Him to show us how we can apply the scripture in our lives.
