Cain and Abel

And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep (shepherd), but Cain was a tiller of the ground (farmer).

And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah).

And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings (firstborn) of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

But unto Cain and to his offering he (He) had not respect. And Cain was very wroth (angry), and his countenance (face expression) fell.

And the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth (Why are you angry)? and why is thy (your) countenance fallen?

If thou doest well (If you do well), shalt thou (will you) not be accepted? and if thou doest not well (and if you do not do well), sin lieth (lies) at the door. And unto thee (you) shall be his desire, and thou shalt (you shall) rule over him.

Abel Murdered

And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew (killed) him.

And the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy (your) brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?

10 And he (He) said, What hast thou done (What have you done)? the voice of thy (your) brother’s blood crieth unto me (cries out to Me) from the ground.

The Curse of Cain

11 And now art thou (you are) cursed from the earth, which hath (has) opened her mouth to receive thy (your) brother’s blood from thy (your) hand;

12 When thou tillest (you till) the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength (it shall no longer produce to you its strength); a fugitive (refugee) and a vagabond shalt thou (and a poor homeless person you shall) be in the earth.

13 And Cain said unto the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), My punishment is greater than I can bear.

14 Behold, thou hast (you have) driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy (your) face shall I be hid (hidden); and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth (finds) me shall slay (kill) me.

15 And the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth (kills) Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold (seven times as great). And the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

Cain Dwells in the Land of Nod

16 And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), and dwelt (lived) in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded (built) a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

18 And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech.

(NOTE: begat (verb) = typically of a man, sometimes of a man and a woman bring a child into existence by the process of reproduction)

Lamech’s Descendants

19 And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.

20 And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell (living) in tents, and of such as have cattle.

21 And his brother’s name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.

22 And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron (the smith (craftsman) and teacher of every artisan in instruments of bronze and iron): and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.

23 And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye (you) wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.

24 If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold (seven times as great), truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold (seventy-seven times).

The Birth of Seth

25 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), said she, hath (has) appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew (killed).

26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah).

The Fallen Angels with Human Wives

1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

That the sons of God (fallen angels) saw the daughters of men that they were fair (beautiful); and they took them wives of all which they chose.

God’s (Elohim’s) Proclamation of Man’s Limited Lifespan

And the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years (a 120 years).

There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God (fallen angels) came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Man’s Wickedness and God’s (Elohim’s) Judgment

And God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

And it repented the Lord (And the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) was sorry) that he (He) had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his (His) heart.

And the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me (for I am sorry) that I have made them.

Noah Found Grace with God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah)

But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah).

These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah).

10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

11 The earth also was corrupt before God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), and the earth was filled with violence.

12 And God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

13 And God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Building the Ark

14 Make thee (yourself) an ark (ship) of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou (shall you) make in the ark, and shalt (shall) pitch it within and without with pitch.

(NOTE: pitch = a sticky resinous black or dark brown substance that is semi-liquid when hot and hardens when cold, obtained by distilling tar or turpentine and used for waterproofing)

15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt (you shall) make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.

16 A window shalt thou (shall you) make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou (shall you) finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou (shall you) set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou (shall you) make it.

17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

The Promise of a Covenant

18 But with thee (you) will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt (you shall) come into the ark, thou (you), and thy (your) sons, and thy (your) wife, and thy (your) sons’ wives with thee (you).

19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou (shall you) bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee (you); they shall be male and female.

20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee (you), to keep them alive.

21 And take thou (you) unto thee (you) of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt (you shall) gather it to thee (you); and it shall be for food for thee (you), and for them.

22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) commanded him, so did he.

And ye (you) have not his word (His Word) abiding (remaining) in you: for whom he hath (He / Yahuah has) sent, him ye (Him you) believe not.

Galatians 6:7 King James Version (KJV)
Be not deceived; God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth (sows / puts in / plants / spreads), that shall he also reap (harvest / attain / get).

Colossians 2:8 King James Version (KJV)
Beware lest any man (Beware, otherwise others may) spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit (deception), after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ (following the elementary principles of this world, rather than following [the truth—the teachings of] Mashiach).

1 Thessalonians 5:11 King James Version (KJV)
“Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye (you) do.”

Hebrews 3:13 King James Version (KJV)
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

John 7:27 King James Version (KJV)
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Matthew 7:1-5 King James Version (KJV)
1 Judge not, that ye (you) be not judged.

(AMP BIBLE: 1 Do not judge and criticize and condemn [others unfairly with an attitude of self-righteous superiority as though assuming the office of a judge], so that you will not be judged [unfairly].)

For with what judgment ye (you) judge, ye (you) shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete (you punish), it shall be measured to you again.

(AMP BIBLE: 2 For just as you [hypocritically] judge others [when you are sinful and unrepentant], so will you be judged; and in accordance with your standard of measure [used to pass out judgment], judgment will be measured to you.)

And why beholdest thou the mote (And why do you look at the tiny piece / speck) that is in thy (your) brother’s eye, but considerest (consider / notice) not the beam (long timber / log) that is in thine (your) own eye?

Or how wilt thou (will you) say to thy (your) brother, Let me pull out the mote (tiny piece / speck) out of thine (your) eye; and, behold, a beam (long timber / log) is in thine (your) own eye?

Thou (You) hypocrite, first cast (throw) out the beam out of thine (your) own eye; and then shalt thou see (shall you) clearly to cast (throw) out the mote (tiny piece / speck) out of thy (your) brother’s eye.

Matthew 6:14-15 King James Version (KJV)

17 For God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuahsent not his (did not send His) Son into the world to condemn (disapprove) the world; but that the world through him (Him) might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him (believes [and] decided to trust Him [as personal Savior and Lord]) is not condemned: but he that believeth not believeth (but he that does not believe) is condemned already, because he hath (has) not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God (Yahusha ha’Mashiach).
