Drawing Close to God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah)
4 From whence come (What leads to) wars and fightings among you? come they not hence (Did they not come for this reason), even of your lusts (even from your pleasures) that war in your members?
2 Ye (You) lust, and have not: ye (you) kill, and desire to have (are jealous), and cannot obtain: ye (you) fight and war, yet ye (you) have not, because ye ask not (because you do not ask).
3 Ye (You) ask, and receive not, because ye (you) ask amiss (with wrong motives), that ye (you) may consume it upon your lusts.
4 Ye (You) adulterers and adulteresses, know ye (you) not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah)? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah).
5 Do ye (you) think that the scripture saith (Scripture says) in vain, The [human] spirit that dwelleth (lives) in us lusteth (intensively crave) to envy?
6 But he giveth (He gives) more grace. Wherefore he saith (Therefore He [the Holy Spirit] says), God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) resisteth (resists, hates) the proud, but giveth (gives) grace unto the humble.
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah). Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8 Draw nigh (near) to God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), and he will draw nigh (near) to you. Cleanse your hands, ye (you) sinners; and purify your hearts, ye (you) double minded.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord (Aḏon), and he (He) shall lift you up.
Warning against Judging Others
11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren (fellow believers). He that speaketh (speaks) evil of his brother, and judgeth (judges) his brother, speaketh (speaks) evil of the law, and judgeth (judges) the law: but if thou (you) judge the law, thou art (you are) not a doer of the law, but a judge.
12 There is one lawgiver (Lawgiver & Judge), who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another (who are you to [hypocritically or self-righteously] pass judgment on your neighbor)?
Warning about Self-Confidence
13 Go to now, ye (you) that say, To day (Today) or to morrow (tomorrow) we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
14 Whereas ye (you) know not what shall be on the morrow (the next day). For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth (appears) for a little time, and then vanisheth (vanishes) away.
15 For that ye ought to (you should) say, If the Lord (Aḏon) will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
16 But now ye (you) rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
17 Therefore to him that knoweth (knows) to do good, and doeth it not (but does not do it), to him it is sin.

The Justice of a Righteous God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah)
18 The word (Word) of the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) came unto me again, saying,
2 What mean ye (you), that ye (you) use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge (feeling of sensitivity caused by the sour taste)?
3 As I live, saith (says) the Lord God (Adonai Elohim / Aluahym), ye (you) shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel.
4 Behold (Look), all souls are mine (Mine); as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine (Mine): the soul that sinneth (sins), it shall die.
5 But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right,
6 And hath (has) not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath (has) lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath (has) defiled his neighbour’s wife, neither hath (has) come near to a menstruous woman,
7 And hath (has) not oppressed any, but hath (has) restored to the debtor his pledge, hath (has) spoiled none by violence, hath (has) given his bread to the hungry, and hath (has) covered the naked with a garment;
8 He that hath (has) not given forth upon usury (not given out on the interest), neither hath (has) taken any increase, that hath (has) withdrawn his hand from iniquity (sin), hath (has) executed true judgment between man and man,
(AMP Bible: 8 if he does not charge interest or take a percentage of increase [on what he lends in compassion], if he keeps his hand from sin and executes true justice between man and man,)
9 Hath (Has) walked in my statutes (My written laws), and hath (has) kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith (says) the Lord God (Adonai Elohim / Aluahym).
(AMP Bible: 9 if he walks in My statutes and [keeps] My ordinances so as to act with integrity; [then] he is [truly] righteous and shall certainly live,” says the Lord God.)
10 If he beget a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that doeth (does) the like to any one of these things,
11 And that doeth (does) not any of those duties, but even hath (has) eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbour’s wife,
12 Hath (If he has) oppressed the poor and needy, hath (has) spoiled by violence, hath (has) not restored the pledge, and hath lifted up his eyes to the idols, hath (has) committed abomination (repulsive act),
13 Hath given forth upon usury (If he has lent on interest), and hath (has) taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath (has) done all these abominations (repulsive acts); he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.
14 Now, lo (look), if he beget a son, that seeth (sees) all his father’s sins which he hath (has) done, and considereth (considers), and doeth (does) not such like,
15 That hath (has) not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath (has) lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, hath (has) not defiled (tainted) his neighbour’s wife,
16 Neither hath (has) oppressed any, hath (has) not withholden the pledge, neither hath (has) spoiled by violence, but hath (has) given his bread to the hungry, and hath (has) covered the naked with a garment,
17 That hath (has) taken off his hand from the poor, that hath (has) not received usury (interest) nor increase, hath (has) executed my judgments, hath (has) walked in my statutes (My Written Laws); he shall not die for the iniquity (sin) of his father, he shall surely live.
18 As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, lo (look), even he shall die in his iniquity (sin).
19 Yet say ye (you), Why? doth (Does) not the son bear the iniquity (sin) of the father? When the son hath (has) done that which is lawful and right, and hath (has) kept all my statutes (My Written Laws), and hath (has) done them, he shall surely live.
20 The soul that sinneth (sins), it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity (sin) of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath (has) committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
22 All his transgressions that he hath (has) committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath (has) done he shall live.
23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith (says) the Lord God (Adonai Elohim / Aluahym): and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
24 But when the righteous turneth (turns) away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity (commits sin), and doeth (does) according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath (has) done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath (has) trespassed, and in his sin that he hath (has) sinned, in them shall he die.
25 Yet ye (you) say, The way of the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) is not equal (fair). Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal (Is not My way fair)? are not your ways unequal (Is it not your ways that are not right)?
26 When a righteous man turneth (turns) away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity (commits sin), and dieth (dies) in them; for his iniquity (sin) that he hath (has) done shall he die.
27 Again, when the wicked man turneth (turns) away from his wickedness that he hath (has) committed, and doeth (does) that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.
28 Because he considereth (considers), and turneth (turns) away from all his transgressions (offences, sin) that he hath (has) committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
29 Yet saith (says) the house of Israel, The way of the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?
30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith (says) the Lord God (Adonai Elohim / Aluahym). Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions (wickedness); so iniquity (sin) shall not be your ruin.
31 Cast (Throw) away from you all your transgressions (wickedness), whereby ye (you) have transgressed (sinned); and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye (you) die, O house of Israel?
32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth (dies), saith (says) the Lord God (Adonai Elohim / Aluahym): wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye (and you will live).

A Lament for Israel’s Kings
19 Moreover take thou (you) up a lamentation (dirge (funeral poem to be sung) for the princes of Israel,
2 And say, What is thy (your) mother? A lioness: she lay down among lions, she nourished her whelps (cubs) among young lions.
3 And she brought up one of her whelps (cubs): it became a young lion, and it learned to catch the prey; it devoured (consumed / ate up / swallowed) men.
4 The nations also heard of him; he was taken in their pit, and they brought him with chains unto the land of Egypt.
5 Now when she saw that she had waited, and her hope was lost, then she took another of her whelps (cubs), and made him a young lion.
6 And he went up and down among the lions, he became a young lion, and learned to catch the prey, and devoured men.
7 And he knew their desolate (deserted) palaces, and he laid waste their cities; and the land was desolate (deserted), and the fulness thereof, by the noise of his roaring.
8 Then the nations set against him on every side from the provinces, and spread their net over him: he was taken in their pit.
9 And they put him in ward in chains, and brought him to the king of Babylon: they brought him into holds, that his voice should no more be heard upon the mountains of Israel.
10 Thy (Your) mother is like a vine in thy (your) blood, planted by the waters: she was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters.
11 And she had strong rods for the sceptres of them that bare rule, and her stature (height) was exalted among the thick branches, and she appeared in her height with the multitude of her branches.
12 But she was plucked up in fury, she was cast (thrown) down to the ground, and the east wind dried up her fruit: her strong rods were broken and withered; the fire consumed them.
13 And now she is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty ground.
14 And fire is gone out of a rod of her branches, which hath (has) devoured her fruit, so that she hath (has) no strong rod to be a sceptre to rule. This is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote (And why do you look at the tiny piece / speck) that is in thy (your) brother’s eye, but considerest (consider / notice) not the beam (long timber / log) that is in thine (your) own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou (will you) say to thy (your) brother, Let me pull out the mote (tiny piece / speck) out of thine (your) eye; and, behold, a beam (long timber / log) is in thine (your) own eye?
5 Thou (You) hypocrite, first cast (throw) out the beam out of thine (your) own eye; and then shalt thou see (shall you) clearly to cast (throw) out the mote (tiny piece / speck) out of thy (your) brother’s eye.
Matthew 6:14-15 King James Version (KJV)

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye (you) have received, freely give.
John 3:3 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Jesus (Yahusha) answered him, “I assure you and most solemnly (seriously) say to you, unless a person is born again [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified], he cannot [ever] see and experience the kingdom of God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah).”
John 3:16-18 King James Version (KJV)
16 For God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) so loved the world, that he gave his (that He gave His) only begotten Son [Yahusha ha’Mashiach], that whosoever believeth in him (believes in Him) should not perish, but have everlasting (eternal) life.
17 For God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) sent not his (did not send His) Son into the world to condemn (disapprove) the world; but that the world through him (Him) might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him (believes [and] decided to trust Him [as personal Savior and Lord]) is not condemned: but he that believeth not believeth (but he that does not believe) is condemned already, because he hath (has) not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God (Yahusha ha’Mashiach).
Acts 4:12 King James Version (KJV)
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Isaiah 52:6 King James Version (KJV)
“Therefore MY PEOPLE SHALL KNOW MY NAME: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth (He who does) speak: behold, it is I.”
Malachi 2:2 King James Version (KJV)
“If ye (you) will not hear, and if ye (you) will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my (My) name, saith (says) the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) of hosts, I WILL EVEN SEND A CURSE UPON YOU, and I will curse your blessings: yea (yes), I have cursed them already, because ye (you) do not lay it to heart.”
