Christ (Mashiach) Is Our High Priest

8 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum (summary, summation): We have such an (a) high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty (Greatness) in the heavens;

2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle (Tent), which the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) pitched (set up), and not man.

3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man (Man) have somewhat also to offer.

4 For if he (He) were on earth, he (He) should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law (Torah):

5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) when he was about to make the tabernacle (Tent): for, See, saith he (says He), that thou (you) make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee (showed to you) in the mount.

6 But now hath he (has He) obtained a more excellent ministry [than the old Levitical priestly ministry], by how much also he (He) is the mediator [Yahuah’s Son; Yahusha] of a better covenant (Covenant), which was established upon better promises.

7 For if that first covenant (Covenant) had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

8 For finding fault with them, he saith (He says), Behold, the days come, saith (says) the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), when I will make a new covenant (New Covenant) with the house of Israel (Yisrael) and with the house of Judah (Yahudah):

9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant (My Covenant), and I regarded them not, saith (says) the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah).

10 For this is the covenant (Covenant) that I will make with the house of Israel (Yisrael) after those days, saith (says) the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah); I will put my (My) laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), and they shall be to me (Me) a (as My) people:

11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah): for all shall know me (Me), from the least to the greatest.

12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities (immoral behaviors) will I remember no more.

13 In that he saith (He says), A new covenant (New Covenant), he hath (He has) made the first old. Now that which decayeth (decays) and waxeth (grows) old is ready to vanish away.

A Message about Babylon

50 The word that the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) spake (spoke) against Babylon (Babel) and against the land of the Chaldeans by Jeremiah (Yirmeyahu) the prophet.

2 Declare ye (you) among the nations, and publish (proclaim), and set up a standard; publish (proclaim), and conceal not: say, Babylon (Babel) is taken, Bel [the patron god] is confounded (shamed), Merodach (Bel) is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces.

3 For out of the north there cometh (comes) up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell (live) therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast (animal).

Hope for Israel (Yisrael) and Judah (Yahudah)

4 In those days, and in that time, saith (says) the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), the children of Israel (Yisrael) shall come, they and the children of Judah (Yahudah) together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the Lord (Adonai) their God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah).

5 They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward (in that direction), saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) in a perpetual (never ending) covenant that shall not be forgotten.

6 My people hath (has) been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace (resting place).

7 All that found them have devoured (swallowed) them: and their adversaries (enemies) said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), the habitation of justice, even the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), the hope of their fathers.

8 Remove out of the midst of Babylon (Babel), and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he goats before the flocks.

9 For, lo (look), I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon (Babel) an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array (display) against her; from thence (there) she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.

10 And Chaldea shall be a spoil (plunder, stolen goods): all that spoil her shall be satisfied, saith (says) the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah).

Babylon’s Sure Fall

11 Because ye (you) were glad, because ye (you) rejoiced, O ye (you) destroyers of mine (My) heritage, because ye (you) are grown fat as the heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls;

(NOTE: heifer (proper noun) = a young female cow that has not yet given birth to a calf)

12 Your mother shall be sore confounded (very confused); she that bare you shall be ashamed: behold, the hindermost of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.

13 Because of the wrath (extreme anger) of the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate (completely destroyed; empty): every one that goeth (goes) by Babylon (Babel) shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.

14 Put yourselves in array (display) against Babylon (Babel) round about: all ye (you) that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she hath (has) sinned against the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah).

15 Shout against her round about: she hath (has) given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah): take vengeance upon her; as she hath (has) done, do unto her.

16 Cut off the sower from Babylon (Babel), and him that handleth (handles) the sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the oppressing sword they shall turn every one to his people, and they shall flee every one to his own land.

Hope for God’s People

17 Israel (Yisrael) is a scattered sheep; the lions have driven him away: first the king of Assyria hath (has) devoured him; and last this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon (Babel) hath (has) broken his bones.

18 Therefore thus saith (says) the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) of hosts, the God (Elohim / Aluahym) of Israel (Yisrael); Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon (Babel) and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria.

19 And I will bring Israel (Yisrael) again to his habitation, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon mount Ephraim and Gilead.

20 In those days, and in that time, saith (says) the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), the iniquity (immoral behavior) of Israel (Yisrael) shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah (Yahudah), and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve.

The LORD’S (YAHUAH’S) Judgment on Babylon

21 Go up against the land of Merathaim, even against it, and against the inhabitants of Pekod: waste and utterly destroy after them, saith (says) the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), and do according to all that I have commanded thee (you).

22 A sound of battle is in the land, and of great destruction.

23 How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! how is Babylon (Babel) become a desolation among the nations!

24 I have laid a snare (trap) for thee (you), and thou art (you are) also taken, O Babylon (Babel), and thou wast (you are)  not aware: thou art (you are) found, and also caught, because thou hast (you have) striven against the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah).

25 The Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) hath (has) opened his (His) armoury (a place where weapons are kept), and hath (has) brought forth the weapons of his indignation (His wrath) : for this is the work of the Lord God (Adonai Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) of hosts in the land of the Chaldeans.

26 Come against her from the utmost border, open her storehouses: cast her up as heaps, and destroy her utterly (completely): let nothing of her be left.

27 Slay (Kill) all her bullocks (bulls); let them go down to the slaughter: woe unto them! for their day is come, the time of their visitation.

28 The voice of them that flee and escape out of the land of Babylon (Babel), to declare in Zion the vengeance of the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) our God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), the vengeance of his (His) temple.

29 Call together the archers against Babylon (Babel): all ye (you) that bend the bow, camp against it round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work (repay her according to her actions); according to all that she hath (has) done, do unto her: for she hath (has) been proud against the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), against the Holy One of Israel (Yisrael).

30 Therefore shall her young men fall in the streets, and all her men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith (says) the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah).

31 Behold, I am against thee (you), O thou (you) most proud, saith (says) the Lord God (Adonai Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) of hosts: for thy (your) day is (has) come, the time that I will visit thee (you).

32 And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will kindle (flame) a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all round about him.

33 Thus saith (says) the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) of hosts; The children of Israel (Yisrael) and the children of Judah (Yahudah) were oppressed together: and all that took them captives held them fast; they refused to let them go.

34 Their Redeemer is strong; the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) of hosts is his (His) name: he (He) shall throughly plead their cause, that he (He) may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon (Babel).

35 A sword is upon the Chaldeans, saith (says) the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), and upon the inhabitants of Babylon (Babel), and upon her princes, and upon her wise men.

36 A sword is upon the liars; and they shall dote (will become fools): a sword is upon her mighty men; and they shall be dismayed.

37 A sword is upon their horses, and upon their chariots, and upon all the mingled people that are in the midst of her; and they shall become as women: a sword is upon her treasures; and they shall be robbed.

38 A drought is upon her waters; and they shall be dried up: for it is the land of graven images, and they are mad upon their idols.

39 Therefore the wild beasts of the desert with the wild beasts of the islands shall dwell (live) there, and the owls shall dwell (live) therein: and it shall be no more inhabited for ever; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation.

40 As God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith (says) the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah); so shall no man abide (remain, stay) there, neither shall any son of man dwell (live) therein.

41 Behold (Observe), a people shall come from the north, and a great nation, and many kings shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.

42 They shall hold the bow and the lance: they are cruel, and will not shew (show) mercy: their voice shall roar like the sea, and they shall ride upon horses, every one put in array (display), like a man to the battle, against thee (you), O daughter of Babylon (Babel).

43 The king of Babylon (Babel) hath (has) heard the report of them, and his hands waxed feeble (grew weak): anguish took hold of him, and pangs (sudden sharp pains) as of a woman in travail (labor).

44 Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan unto the habitation of the strong: but I will make them suddenly run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me (For who is like Me, and who will summon Me [into court] and prosecute Me [for this]? Who is the [earthly] shepherd who can stand [defiantly] before Me?)

45 Therefore hear ye (you) the counsel of the Lord (Adonai; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah), that he hath (He has) taken against Babylon (Babel); and his purposes, that he hath (He has) purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he (He) shall make their habitation desolate with them.

46 At the noise of the taking of Babylon (Babel) the earth is moved, and the cry is heard among the nations.

Be not deceived; God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth (sows / puts in / plants / spreads), that shall he also reap (harvest / attain / get).

Galatians 6:3 King James Version (KJV)
For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth (deceives, is deceiving) himself.

Beware lest any man (Beware, otherwise others may) spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit (deception), after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ (following the elementary principles of this world, rather than following [the truth—the teachings of] Mashiach).

Matthew 7:1-5 King James Version (KJV)

2 For with what judgment ye (you) judge, ye (you) shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete (you punish), it shall be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote (And why do you look at the tiny piece / speck) that is in thy (your) brother’s eye, but considerest (consider / notice) not the beam (long timber / log) that is in thine (your) own eye?

4 Or how wilt thou (will you) say to thy (your) brother, Let me pull out the mote (tiny piece / speck) out of thine (your) eye; and, behold, a beam (long timber / log) is in thine (your) own eye?

5 Thou (You) hypocrite, first cast (throw) out the beam out of thine (your) own eye; and then shalt thou see (shall you) clearly to cast (throw) out the mote (tiny piece / speck) out of thy (your) brother’s eye.

Matthew 6:14-15 King James Version (KJV)
14 For if ye (you) forgive men their trespasses (wrongdoings/sins), your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 But if ye forgive not (For if you do not forgive) men their trespasses (wrongdoings/sins), neither will your Father forgive your trespasses (wrongdoings / sins).

John 3:16-18 King James Version (KJV)
16 For God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) so loved the world, that he gave his (that He gave His) only begotten Son [Yahusha ha’Mashiach], that whosoever believeth in him (believes in Him) should not perish, but have everlasting (eternal) life.

17 For God (Elohim / Aluahym; 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / Yahuah) sent not his (did not send His) Son into the world to condemn (disapprove) the world; but that the world through him (Him) might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him (believes [and] decided to trust Him [as personal Savior and Lord]) is not condemned: but he that believeth not believeth (but he that does not believe) is condemned already, because he hath (has) not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God (Yahusha ha’Mashiach).
