GUIDE TO DO BAPTISM ON IMVU:-

BRIEFING

I will first give a briefing before I baptize you. Please read carefully.

QUESTION: Why do believers in Christ must be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son Jesus Christ (Yeshua / Yahushua HaMashiach) and the Holy Spirit?

ANSWER:-

(1) S = SCRIPTURE

Romans 6:3-7 King James Version (KJV)
3 Know ye not (Do you not know), that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ (Yeshua / Yahushua HaMashiach) were baptized into his (His) death?

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his (His) death, we shall be also in the likeness of his (His) resurrection:

6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him (Him; Yeshua / Yahushua), that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

2) O = OBSERVATION

2.1) Romans 6:3-7 shows two main points, namely:-

– baptism is a symbolic of Christ’s own death and resurrection.

– the death of the old sinner and the rebirth and promised resurrection of the new person that each one who is baptized has become in Christ.

2.2) Jesus (Yeshua / Yahushua) Himself was baptized in a full immersion baptism by John the Baptist:-

(NOTE: full immersion baptism = baptism by complete submersion of the person in water)

13 Then cometh Jesus (comes Yeshua / Yahushua) from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee (by You), and comest thou (and you come) to me?

15 And Jesus (Yeshua / Yahushua) answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh (becomes) us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him (Then John permitted [it and baptized] Him).

16 And Jesus (Yeshua / Yahushua), when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo (look), the heavens were opened unto him (Him), and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him (Him):

17 And lo (look) a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

2.4) To be baptized is an act of obedience; believe and be baptized:-

Mark 16:16 King James Version (KJV)
16 He that believeth (believes) and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned (but he that does not believe will be condemned).

(3) A = APPLICATION

We must believe and be baptized in full immersion baptism as an act of obedience toward our heavenly Father (God; Yah / Yahuah / YHWH).

(4) P = PRAYER

Father God (Yah / Yahuah / YHWH), I come humbly to You as your child.

I choose to obey You.

I believe in:-

4.1) You; as my God (Yah / Yahuah / YHWH) the Father
4.2) Jesus Christ (NOTE: real name in Hebrew: Yeshua / Yahushua HaMashiach) ; as God the Son
4.3) and the Holy Spirit; as God the Holy Spirit

and I choose to be baptized in the name of God, Jesus Christ (Yeshua / Yahushua HaMashiach) and Holy Spirit.

Baptism is my initial steps of faith as I continue to strive to be Christ-like every moment in my life.

Baptism is my public declaration of my faith that my old self and all ungodly sins has died with Jesus (Yeshua / Yahushua HaMashiach).

I am resurrected as a new person in Christ after coming out from the water.

Thank You Father God for adopting me as Your child and sending Your Son Jesus to save me from being condemned to hell.

I renounce every fake dead ‘gods’ in my life because they are false dead gods / idols.

I am now a child of the One and Only true living Almighty Creator.

The name of my heavenly Father is Yah / Yahuah / YHWH.

I commit myself to You in full obedience and submission.

In all this I give this thanks and pray in the name of Yeshua / Yahushua HaMashiach, my beloved Savior.
