Yahusha before the Council (continuation)
54 And Peter followed him (Him) afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.
55 And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Yahusha to put him (Him) to death; and found none.
56 For many bare false witness against him (Him), but their witness agreed not together.
(NOTE: bare false witness / bear false witness (verb – in a phrase form) = knowingly give untrue testimony about someone)
57 And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him (Him), saying,
58 We heard him (Him) say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.
59 But neither so did their witness agree together.
60 And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Yahusha, saying, Answerest thou nothing (Do You answer nothing)? what is it which these witness against thee (you)?
61 But he held his peace (kept silent), and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou (Are you) the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed?
62 And Yahusha said, I am: and ye (you) shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
63 Then the high priest rent (tore) his clothes, and saith (said), What need we any further witnesses?
64 Ye (You) have heard the blasphemy: what think ye (you)? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.
65 And some began to spit on him, and to cover his (His) face, and to buffet him (Him), and to say unto him (Him), Prophesy: and the servants did strike him (Him) with the palms of their hands.
Peter Denies Yahusha
66 And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh (came) one of the maids of the high priest:
67 And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou (you) also wast (were) with Yahusha of Nazareth.
68 But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest (you are saying). And he went out into the porch; and the cock (rooster) crew.
69 And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.
70 And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art (you are) one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto (for you are a Galilean, and your speech shows it).
71 But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye (you) speak.
72 And the second time the cock (rooster) crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Yahusha said unto him, Before the cock (rooster) crow twice, thou shalt (you shall) deny me thrice (three times). And when he thought thereon (about it), he wept.

Blessings for Obedience
28 And it shall come to pass (And it shall be), if thou shalt hearken (you shall pay attention) diligently unto the voice of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah your Elohim, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee (you) this day, that 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah your Elohim will set thee (you) on high above all nations of the earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee (you) , and overtake thee (you), if thou shalt hearken unto (you shall pay attention to) the voice of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah your Elohim.
3 Blessed shalt thou (shall you) be in the city, and blessed shalt thou (shall you) be in the field.
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy (your) body, and the fruit of thy (your) ground, and the fruit of thy (your) cattle, the increase of thy (your) kine, and the flocks of thy (your) sheep.
5 Blessed shall be thy (your) basket and thy (your) store.

7 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall cause thine (your) enemies that rise up against thee (you) to be smitten (defeated) before thy (your) face: they shall come out against thee (you) one way, and flee before thee (you) seven ways.
8 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall command the blessing upon thee (you) in thy (your) storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine (you set your) hand unto; and he shall bless thee (you) in the land which 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah your Elohim giveth thee (is giving you).
9 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall establish thee (you) an holy people unto himself, as he hath (has) sworn unto thee (you), if thou shalt (you shall) keep the commandments of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah your Elohim, and walk in his (His) ways.
10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art (you are) called by the name of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah; and they shall be afraid of thee (you).
11 And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall make thee (you) plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy (your) body, and in the fruit of thy (your) cattle, and in the fruit of thy (your) ground, in the land which 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah sware unto (swore to) thy (your) fathers to give thee (you).
12 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah your Elohim shall open unto thee (you) his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy (your) land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine (your) hand: and thou shalt (you shall) lend unto many nations, and thou shalt (you shall) not borrow.
13 And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall make thee (you) the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt (you shall) be above only, and thou shalt (you shall) not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto (you pay attention to) the commandments of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah your Elohim, which I command thee (you) this day, to observe and to do them:
14 And thou shalt (you shall) not go aside from any of the words which I command thee (you) this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
Curses for Disobedience
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto (if you will not pay attention to) the voice of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah your Elohim, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee (you) this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee (you) , and overtake thee (you):
16 Cursed shalt thou (shall you) be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.
17 Cursed shall be thy (your) basket and thy (your) store.
18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy (your) body, and the fruit of thy (your) land, the increase of thy (your) kine, and the flocks of thy (your) sheep.
19 Cursed shalt thou (shall you) be when thou comest (you come) in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
20 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall send upon thee (you) cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine (you set your) hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou (you) perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy (your) doings, whereby thou hast (you have) forsaken me.
21 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee (you), until he have consumed thee (you) from off the land, whither thou goest (you go) to possess it.
22 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall smite thee (strike you) with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee (you) until thou perish.
23 And thy (your) heaven that is over thy (your) head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee (you) shall be iron.
24 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall make the rain of thy (your) land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee (you), until thou be destroyed.
25 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall cause thee (you) to be smitten (defeated) before thine (your) enemies: thou shalt (you shall) go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt (shall) be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
26 And thy carcase (your dead body) shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.
27 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah will smite thee (strike you) with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not (you cannot) be healed.
28 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall smite thee (strike you) with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:
29 And thou shalt (you shall) grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth (gropes) in darkness, and thou shalt (you shall) not prosper in thy (your) ways: and thou shalt (and you shall) be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee (you).
30 Thou shalt (you shall) betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt (you shall) build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein (and you shall not live in there): thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not (shall not) gather the grapes thereof.
31 Thine (Your) ox shall be slain before thine (your) eyes, and thou shalt (you shall) not eat thereof: thine ass (your donkey) shall be violently taken away from before thy (your) face, and shall not be restored to thee (you): thy (your) sheep shall be given unto thine (your) enemies, and thou shalt (you shall) have none to rescue them.
32 Thy (Your) sons and thy (your) daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine (your) eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long; and there shall be no might in thine (your) hand.
33 The fruit of thy (your) land, and all thy (your) labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not (you know not) eat up; and thou shalt (you shall) be only oppressed and crushed alway (always):
34 So that thou shalt (you shall) be mad for the sight of thine (your) eyes which thou shalt (you shall) see.
35 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall smite thee (strike you) in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy (your) foot unto the top of thy (your) head.
36 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall bring thee (you), and thy (your) king which thou shalt (you shall) set over thee (you), unto a nation which neither thou nor thy (your) fathers have known; and there shalt thou (shall you) serve other gods, wood and stone.
37 And thou shalt (you shall) become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall lead thee (you).
38 Thou shalt (You shall) carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.
39 Thou shalt (You shall) plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.
40 Thou shalt (You shall) have olive trees throughout all thy (your) coasts, but thou shalt (you shall) not anoint thyself (yourself) with the oil; for thine (your) olive shall cast his fruit.
41 Thou shalt beget (You shall become the father of) sons and daughters, but thou shalt (you shall) not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.
42 All thy (your) trees and fruit of thy (your) land shall the locust consume.
43 The stranger that is within thee (you) shall get up above thee (you) very high; and thou shalt (you shall) come down very low.
44 He shall lend to thee (you), and thou shalt (you shall) not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt (you shall) be the tail.
45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee (you), and shall pursue thee (you), and overtake thee (you), till thou (you) be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto (you did not pay attention) the voice of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah your Elohim, to keep his (His) commandments and his statutes (His written laws) which he (He) commanded thee (you):
46 And they shall be upon thee (you) for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy (your) seed (generation / descendant) for ever.
47 Because thou servedst (you serve) not 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah your Elohim with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
48 Therefore shalt thou (shall you) serve thine (your) enemies which 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall send against thee (you), in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy (your) neck, until he have destroyed thee (you).
49 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall bring a nation against thee (you) from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth (flies); a nation whose tongue thou shalt (you shall) not understand;
50 A nation of fierce countenance (facial expression), which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew (show) favour to the young:
51 And he shall eat the fruit of thy (your) cattle, and the fruit of thy (your) land, until thou (you) be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee (you) either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy (your) kine, or flocks of thy (your) sheep, until he have destroyed thee (you).
52 And he shall besiege thee (you) in all thy (your) gates, until thy (your) high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst (in which you trusted), throughout all thy (your) land: and he shall besiege thee (you) in all thy (your) gates throughout all thy (your) land, which 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah your Elohim hath (has) given thee (you).
53 And thou shalt (you shall) eat the fruit of thine (your) own body, the flesh of thy (your) sons and of thy (your) daughters, which 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah your Elohim hath (has) given thee (you), in the siege, and in the straitness (misery), wherewith thine (your) enemies shall distress thee (you):
54 So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:
55 So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath (has) nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness (misery), wherewith thine (your) enemies shall distress thee (you) in all thy (your) gates.
56 The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,
57 And toward her young one that cometh (comes) out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness (misery), wherewith thine (your) enemy shall distress thee (you) in thy (your) gates.
58 If thou wilt not (If you will not) observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest (you may) fear this glorious and fearful name, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah your Elohim;
59 Then 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah will make thy (your) plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy (your) seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
60 Moreover he will bring upon thee (you) all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee (you).
61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah bring upon thee (you), until thou be destroyed.
62 And ye (you) shall be left few in number, whereas ye (you) were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not (you would not) obey the voice of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah your Elohim.
63 And it shall come to pass, that as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought (nothing); and ye (you) shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest (you go) to possess it.
64 And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall scatter thee (you) among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt (you shall) serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy (your) fathers have known, even wood and stone.
65 And among these nations shalt thou (shall you) find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy (your) foot have rest: but 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall give thee (you) there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
66 And thy (your) life shall hang in doubt before thee (you); and thou shalt (you shall) fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy (your) life:
67 In the morning thou shalt (you shall) say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine (your) heart wherewith thou shalt (you shall) fear, and for the sight of thine (your) eyes which thou shalt (you shall) see.
68 And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall bring thee (you) into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto (spoke to) thee (you), Thou shalt (You shall) see it no more again: and there ye (you) shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.

29 These are the words of the covenant, which 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.
Moses Reviews the Covenant
2 And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye (You) have seen all that 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;
3 The great temptations which thine (your) eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:
4 Yet 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah hath (has) not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.
5 And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you (have not worn out on you), and thy (your) shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot (have not worn out on your foot).
6 Ye (You) have not eaten bread, neither have ye (you) drunk wine or strong drink: that ye (you) might know that I am 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah your Elohim.
7 And when ye (you) came unto this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us unto battle, and we smote them:
8 And we took their land, and gave it for an inheritance unto the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half tribe of Manasseh.
9 Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye (you) may prosper in all that ye (you) do.
10 Ye (You) stand this day all of you before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah your Elohim; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel,
11 Your little ones, your wives, and thy (your) stranger that is in thy (your) camp, from the hewer of thy (your) wood unto the drawer of thy (your) water:
12 That thou shouldest (you should) enter into covenant with 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah your Elohim, and into his oath, which 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah your Elohim maketh (makes) with thee (you) this day:
13 That he may establish thee (you) to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee (you) a God, as he hath (has) said unto thee (you) , and as he hath (has) sworn unto thy (your) fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
14 Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath;
15 But with him that standeth (is standing) here with us this day before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah our Elohim, and also with him that is not here with us this day:
16 (For ye (you) know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which ye (you) passed by;
17 And ye (you) have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)
18 Lest (Otherwise) there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth (turns) away this day from 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah our Elohim, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth (bears) gall and wormwood;
19 And it come to pass, when he heareth (hears) the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine (my) heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
20 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah will not spare him, but then the anger of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah and his (His) jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall blot out his name from under heaven.
21 And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law:
22 So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah hath (has) laid upon it;
23 And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth (bears), nor any grass groweth (grows) therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah overthrew in his (His) anger, and in his wrath (His extreme anger):
24 Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath (Why has) 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah done thus unto (this to) this land? what meaneth (means) the heat of this great anger?
25 Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Adonai Elohim of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:
26 For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them:
27 And the anger of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah was kindled (flamed) against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:
28 And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath (extreme anger), and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.
29 The secret things belong unto 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 / YHUH / Yahuah our Elohim: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

“Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye (you) do.”

1 Judge not, that ye (you) be not judged.
(AMP BIBLE: 1 Do not judge and criticize and condemn [others unfairly with an attitude of self-righteous superiority as though assuming the office of a judge], so that you will not be judged [unfairly].)
2 For with what judgment ye (you) judge, ye (you) shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete (you punish), it shall be measured to you again.
(AMP BIBLE: 2 For just as you [hypocritically] judge others [when you are sinful and unrepentant], so will you be judged; and in accordance with your standard of measure [used to pass out judgment], judgment will be measured to you.)
3 And why beholdest thou the mote (And why do you look at the tiny piece / speck) that is in thy (your) brother’s eye, but considerest (consider / notice) not the beam (long timber / log) that is in thine (your) own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou (will you) say to thy (your) brother, Let me pull out the mote (tiny piece / speck) out of thine (your) eye; and, behold, a beam (long timber / log) is in thine (your) own eye?
5 Thou (You) hypocrite, first cast (throw) out the beam out of thine (your) own eye; and then shalt thou see (shall you) clearly to cast (throw) out the mote (tiny piece / speck) out of thy (your) brother’s eye.
